But the tracks don&rsquo;t connect and if you don&rsquo;t have the tracks in the right angle, the train just misses going through it. Or the train will hit the track and push it out of the way. He got bored with it quite quickly. Thought that maybe the batteries supplied were low or of poor quality so I replaced them with new ones. Again, within 5 minutes the batteries were so drained that the train couldn&rsquo;t even make it round the track. Completely dead within the next few minutes. It&rsquo;s a shame because the toy is actual fun and simple enough for him to play with. (He&rsquo;s only 2). But there&rsquo;s just no point if you have to replace the batteries every 5 minutes. Has not been played with since. Poor execution.</span> <span itemprop="description">This toy looks a lot of fun. Once it had been unboxed and set up the fun ran out very quickly. The problem is the train. You hit the bit on top to make it go except for every hit it just goes forward a few centimetres and stops. Most times it can&rsquo;t even get over the bridge without a push. My son lost interest after a few minutes while I tried to get it to work properly. Well he loved it. He keep calling me telling me thanks for the great gift. Each piece is sturdy and I do not have to worry about him messing it up fast. He tends to lose pieces of tracks being so young so the fact that this railroad was meant to not fully connect is perfect for him, he also enjoys playing with the train on it's own and sending it on adventures throughout the house. Right out of the box it is only 12 pieces and then the train car exclusive slammer. It is one of the easiest assembly of a toy I&rsquo;ve ever come across. Additionally, this is essentially made for rough housing with a toy. To get the effect of the slammer vehicles you have to hit the button on top of these specific slammer vehicles. The track included is a five piece track that can be arranged any way your child wants it to be making cause and effect a great tool with this toy. I love that this Little Tikes raceway toy is made with durable thick plastic to test the strength of time and wear and prove durable. The Engine part of this train car set does require two double A batteries that are included but may be dead from display. There is a rock tunnel included in this set as well to add to the fun. My sons love to play with this together so it really is fun for many ages from 3 and up.They already want the additional vehicles and additions to the tracks. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a perfect toy for a young boy that is both easy to assemble and easy to keep track of and clean!
