He likes that the bucket can come off. It's made very well and seems to be durable enough to last a very long time. She loves to play with all types of toys and when she opened it to play with she was so excited to add some sand to the empty cement mixers barrel to act like it was actual cement turning it around and dumping it out. The Truck is a decent size actually though it would of been a small toy but it's a medium size. The plastic is not flimsy which makes it durable for the the kiddos to play with with it for a while. She actually played with it indoors first then took it outside to play in the sun washed it out to clean off the mud she played with and it all came out just fine. It does the job, which is, plain and simple, to entertain my nephew. It's lightweight and easy for little hands to use without getting them pinched or stuck. Both my 16 month old and 4.5 year old (girls!) thought this was a super fun truck. The bucket comes off the back and has been used for many purposes. The only issue is that my 16 month old tries to pick up the truck by the bucket and it comes off, but not sure there's a way around that in terms of design. Her grandpa works with cement, so we were excited to get her a cement truck of her own. She's played with it every day since we opened it (which doesn't happen ever). She's driven it around, thrown it down the stairs, loaded it up with gravel from the drive, filled it with sand, left it outside while it was storming. It's been through the wringer, and still looks like I just pulled it from the box. It's a durable little truck (though I say that loosely. It's definitely on the bigger side for a truck), and I see it holding up for a long time. The cement mixer does come out, which I don't like as much for my younger kid, but it is nice for playing in the sandbox.
