The screen size is small and a bit dark to catch little one’s attention. We have Leapfrog word builder DVDs and other products but this one lacks the ability to catch a toddler’s attention somehow. We tried to take this on a recent 2 hour drive as well but she played with it only for a few minutes before getting bored.</span>

The extra alphabet "slides" don't have a convenient spot for storage and are rather in the way. It's obnoxiously loud. I expected our girls to lear more from it but I feel like it just doesn't work for that. They like playing on it hut it takes to long an they get distracted if they are supposed to be doing the learning activities. I feel like for it to truly work to teach them anything I would have to sit with them and monitor them the whole time.</span>

<span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We picked this LeapFrog ABC Phonics Word Builder for our 4 year old who is currently in an early Pre-K class and he learned how to use it pretty quickly. He seems to spend at least 15 minutes on it each time he plays with it. I like how easy the cards fit onto it, and that it has the loop to store them on. The sound and word quality is great, my only complaint would be the brightness level of the screen. I wish it was either adjustable or a bit brighter, because sometimes it is hard to see what’s on the screen. (Not sure if it changes depending on lighting in room or not). But he definitely enjoys learning words on it!</span>
