Love LEGO
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LEGO City Deep-Sea Research Submarine is an exciting and immersive set that delivers both a fun building experience and fantastic play value. As a fan of ocean exploration, I loved the attention to detail—from the removable cockpit and mechanical arms to the mini deep-sea drone and glow-in-the-dark anglerfish. The submarine’s size is impressive without being overwhelming, and the six detailed minifigures, complete with deep-sea diving suits, add to the adventure. The build was engaging, taking me around 2.5 hours, and the finished model feels sturdy and well-designed. Though I was initially hesitant about the price, the variety of features, accessories, and creative elements make it well worth it. Whether you’re a collector or just love underwater exploration, this set is a fantastic addition to any LEGO collection!

Fun & functional Technic sub
This is a very creative Technic set. The arms are able to be moved to pick up objects. They can also be switched from the front to the back of the sub. Propellers also have a turning mechanism. The build was enjoyed by a 9 year old boy, who saw it in the Lego magazine. He wasn't disappointed. Thanks to the designers in Lego for an eye-catching & inventive set!

The Lego Deep-Sea Research Submarine is a detailed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently built the Lego Deep-Sea Research Submarine, and I absolutely loved it! The packaging was top-notch, with everything neatly organized and clearly labeled, making it easy to dive straight into the fun. The box art was vibrant and set the tone for what promised to be an exciting build. When I opened the box, I found the instruction manual to be straightforward, guiding me step-by-step through the process. The pieces were high-quality, and the attention to detail was impressive, with tiny elements that really made the submarine feel authentic.
The assembly process was both relaxing and enjoyable. Each stage was well-paced, allowing me to appreciate the design while slowly piecing everything together. I loved the little surprises along the way—like adding the tiny fish and sea creatures that came with the set! The deeper I got into the build, the more I appreciated the intricacy of the design. The sub itself came together beautifully, and I could really see the craftsmanship that went into creating a model that felt both realistic and fun.
Once the build was complete, I was so impressed with the finished product. The submarine looked amazing, with its movable parts, detailed underwater accessories, and vibrant colors. It was so much fun to look at and imagine it exploring the ocean depths! The entire experience, from start to finish, was incredibly satisfying. Whether you're a seasoned Lego enthusiast or new to the hobby, I highly recommend the Lego Deep-Sea Research Submarine. It's an awesome way to relax, challenge yourself, and end up with a stunning display piece!

Good, solid, fun to build set
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, I love lego, though I don't often get to buy any because of its prohibitive pricing, so when I got to opportunity to review this set, I jumped at the chance. I was not disappointed. The lego technic deep sea research submarine set is 413 pieces which came in 3 bags. Also in the box was a sheet of 13 stickers and the instruction book.
It took me about 90 minutes to complete the 109 steps. The build was relatively simple with only one really fiddly bit, trying to get a gear to sit still while I put a rod through it. It's a good, sturdy model with several moving parts which are operated by obvious twisting gear pieces. None of the mechanisms are accessible so there is no chance for injury and even the grabber at the front is made of rubber rather than plastic.

Highly Enjoyable
This is a worthy addition to my bathyscaphe collection.
It was such an enjoyable build that I am tempted to buy another to repeat the experience rather than break it down and start again.
It is great value and it looks great when completed. It is more technic orientated than the previous bathyscaphes but nothing too complicated.
Plus it's quite addictive in that I keep wanting to spin the propellers !
Enjoy
