The four individual vehicles slot together really easily. The flyer is the weakest design by far. The wing arms have red ball joints and grey ball joints. The pins of the grey ball joints push into the middle of the hole in the back of the red ball joint pin. Whenever the wings are moved the grey ball joints pop out from the red. As well as this the entire fixture holding the wings in position falls apart. I have repeatedly rebuilt it to no avail. After watching him build and play with it for a while, I felt compelled to write this review as feedback for Lego and other potential buyers. On the upside, the construction is an interesting and somewhat clever design, with several elaborate moving parts on the jet plane. Therefore it is hard not be impressed by how much Lego designs have evolved since my own childhood. On the downside, Lego appears to have forgotten (in this example at least) that a toy aimed at children should be robust enough for play without constant breakages and the need for repair. I spent the whole Christmas break repairing it multiple times a day. The mechanism at the back that makes the blades come out falls apart at the slightest touch &amp; it often falls even more apart as I put it back together.
