C’est vraiment satisfaisant d’avoir terminé le montage de ce très sympathique grand huit, et surtout d’avoir trouvé un endroit pour l’installer, chose pas facile vu le gabarit !
J’ai pris beaucoup de plaisir à le monter :
- il y a des détails techniques intéressants qui démontrent encore une fois l’habilité des ingénieurs de chez Lego
- Je n’ai pas trouvé le montage du tout monotone car en suivant la notice, c’est bien amené avec parfois des variantes sur les parties un poil répétitives comme les piliers.
- Il y a plein de petits détails sympas bien représentés (le stand de barbes à papa, l’appareil photo…)
- La chaîne avec tous les maillons était un peu longue mais c’est très facile de l’ajuster : très bien pensé le coup du ‘tendeur’ pour la mettre sous tension !
- Les figurines sont assez communes mais en nombre suffisant pour donner de la vie au kit.
- Sympa d’avoir deux trames de 3 voitures qu’on peut faire aller en même temps, ou en garer une à l’endroit prévu sur le grand huit, donc sans avoir à chercher où la mettre de côté !
Je ne l’ai pas motorisé mais il fonctionne très bien avec les manivelles prévues, même en faisant aller les deux trames en même temps, et c’est un plaisir d’en faire monter une pendant que l’autre dévale les pentes et virages.
Un conseil, mais pas spécialement dédié à ce kit : réfrénez votre curiosité et prenez le temps de faire le montage étape par étape, en suivant la notice ou LegoBuilder !
Ça permet d’avoir pleins de petites surprises et je trouve bien agréable d’aller un peu à l’aveugle pendant plusieurs étapes, pour arriver à la finalisation d’une partie, et de se dire alors : chouette, bravo, alors c’est ça que les ingénieurs avaient prévu :-)</span>

<span itemprop="description">It is a very good set and the playability is great however I’ve only had this set for just over 2 years, my son went to play with it the other day and both sets of carts wouldn’t go fully round the track one set (light blue) would stop at the second bend and the other (dark blue) stop just after the last tyre on the first bend, ended up having to replace the cart bases and wheels and that fixed it, I assume they had seized up for some reason, bit annoying</span>

Monté, cassé par des déménageurs, remonté, recassé, remonté toujours avec autant de plaisir en une petite dizaine d'heures. C'est un joli set, je ne saurais le comparer au nouveau, je ne l'ai pas acheté. Mais celui-ci est sympa comme tout. Les enfants ont attaché les deux trains et le font rouler encore et encore chaque soir. Il est en bonne place dans la chambre de mon fils. Je recommande, si vous le trouvez, prenez-le. Quand j'aurai pris le nouveau, je ferai le comparatif.</span>

I am writing this to Lego because this is a big issue for me and does not look good in my city. But overall pretty good build to put under my city.</span>
