Some JBuddies headphones of this style/branding (&quot;JBuddies Folding Kids Headphones&quot;) are apparently adjustable. The manual PDF you can find on ththis very product page explains that rotating the right ear dial counter-clockwise allows you to make the headphones louder and rotating it clockwise makes them quieter. Many negative reviews for these headphones complain that the headphones are too quiet. The current version of these headphones is NOT adjustable and as you can see from my submitted photo, the reason they are way too quiet is because they are rolled out from the factory permanently set to almost their minimum volume (assuming the circuitry inside still functions like the adjustable version.) That pink piece of plastic should be able to rotate through that guided area to adjust the volume, but it has been filled in with solid plastic now and frozen in place. Perhaps dremmelling out that plastic channel will let me get some use of these headphones. Tried again on different devices once we got to where we were going and they were defective. Emailed customer service and they were quick to respond! After everything was said and done he had new headphones mailed to us in just under two weeks and they worked great! They work well and are compact enough to keep tucked away in her desk when not in use. Unfortunate they haven&rsquo;t made it through the school year. With just over a month left of school, she brings home a broken headphone. One of the ear pads kept falling off and hanging by the wires but she figured &lsquo;just clip it back on and it&rsquo;ll be fine&rsquo;. This last time the pad fell off it broke away from the wires completely. The headphones have only been used in class and kept in a designated spot in her desk. No rough use at all and not even used daily. I have submitted a warranty claim and I have the headphones packaged up and ready to ship back to the company. They LOVE them and the best part.... our car is SO quiet when they have them on! My husband said wow, why didn't we buy these sooner? We have tried kids headphones before and they are either uncomfortable or junk. We just received a replacement, since other pair stop working. In less then a 2 week this pair was sent back home from school. They are not working.
