My son was so happy to get this and put it up right away. They just fall off. I also felt along the side of the ramp and one area feels stressed and is not smooth. The cars to to about half way the ramp and fall off. I installed brand new D batteries right out of the packaging, when I first put it together but it just crapped out anyway. They are able to rebuild it many ways and connect it to other track sets. The only drawback is not all cars will work when the track is set up with a loop. My Dad has the nicest Hot Wheels track from when he was a kid, and this track is very similar. It is nice and bendable, and my boys test it regularly (ages 10, 6, 5). They have come up with so many different variations after trying all of the suggestions on the box. They loop it over Legos and around stuffed animals, and it works! I love that this is engaging and really gets them thinking and planning. I was not involved at all in building the set. My kids were able to do it by themselves. We own a lot of Hot Wheels sets, so I wasn't sure this would really get played with. For two weeks they have constantly changed the track. When I suggested we take it to the basement for a few weeks and get something else out, I got a big &quot;No&quot;. My 10 year old likes the set, but my younger boys (5, 6) really love it and play with it. Just a suggestion: Make sure you buy the D batteries before it comes in the mail. My kids pestered me until I got some. It is not too loud when you turn it on (thankfully). I like this set so much I intend to buy it for nieces and nephews. It was easy to open the box and follow the instructions to set up the track. We were playing in minutes. You will need a Phillips screwdriver and 4 &ldquo;D&rdquo; batteries for the motorized boosters but everything else is included in the kit. Play is unlimited. The kids spend hours playing together, configuring the tracks and boosters, racing, and then reconfiguring the track for more racing adventures. We joined them and played as a family several times. The kit also includes 1 Hot Wheels race car and the track is compatible with other Hot Wheels vehicles in your collection. We discovered that HW vehicles with the same weight as the car included in the kit work best to make it all the way around the track with the boosters&rsquo; power. If your batteries are old and not fully charged, the momentum might not be enough for the car to go through a full loop and it might fall off the track. Everything in the kit is made with quality pieces and the heft of the set makes for an awesome gift for a birthday or holiday. My 8 year old says: &ldquo;My favorite part of the track are the powerful boosters that launch the cars around the track. I was surprised at how fast the cars went around!&rdquo; My 11 year old says &ldquo;I love the challenge of making new track configurations and keeping the cars moving around the track.&rdquo; We also love how the pieces in the kit stack for easy storage. This kit is well-thought out and we highly recommend it.
