From the time he seen it he insisted on wearing it and did not want to take it off! The light up feature is one of his favorites. While this helmet says 5+, my son has a large head circumference for his age and he has since birth. If you're child is big for their age I definitely recommend checking the size chart for this helmet. If fits my 3 year old perfectly. The straps are adjustable and it is a lightweight helmet so it stays in place really well. It is padded really good so it doesnt hurt his head.
