I photograph her in the garden, so she needs sturdy shoes. Barbie Hiking Doll appears to be the only Made to Move Barbie with boots. If there were others with boots, I would probably buy those as well. Her skin tone is attractive and inclusive. I like her bendable elbows and knees. I wish her shoulders and hips were more flexible. I can't get her elbows to extend behind her. And when I seat her I can't get her spine at a 90-degree angle to her legs. She leans back a few degrees, a posture that would be uncomfortable in a person. After I bought her I learned that other Made to Move Barbies had flexible ankles. Hikers need flexible ankles, too! It's a tradeoff, of course. A doll that moves and poses more realistically is bound to cost more. For the price, she's a good value. She really likes the accessories this came with, which include a map (not paper, thankfully!), a sunscreen bottle, a water bottle, and a backpack with a dog figure, among a few other small items. She said her favorite part was the dog in the backpack (which is removeable to place the other items into). My daughter&rsquo;s favorite accessory was the backpack that has and opening for the puppy. We both thought it was very cute and fun. The backpack is made of a soft plastic and it&rsquo;s buckle was difficult for her to unbuckle by herself. I also needed to help weave barbies arms through.
