My daughter loves to sing and B.Toys. I replaced the AAA batteries and now it&rsquo;s not working. I made sure to put in correct placement and align the cap. I&rsquo;ve readjusted a few times but nothing is happening. Once you start music to sing to, I don't think you can turn it off without turning the whole microphone off and on again. You have to speak really close to the microphone for it to work (as in lips touching it if you're a child) and directly into the top where the holes are (it doesn't pick up the voice if you're at an angle). I'm a bit disappointed because I could have picked up something that is similar for much cheaper, but chose this instead because i thought the quality would be better and therefore would be more fun for my child. Lots of dancing and singing that didn't usually happen before. Most especially, they really enjoyed being able to record themselves and hear it played back. Sound quality is good for the music but just ok for the recordings, but hard to tell when they put their mouth too close all the time. On the parent side, this is a noise maker but not too loud, aka very tolerable. Also look out for them recording you saying &quot;yes&quot; and using that over and over. The feature of recording yourself is really neat but the playback volume is too low and muffled. I think being able to change the tempo is a really neat feature to help kiddos adjust the speed if they want to sing along. I had to read the instructions to find all the controls, so this is definitely better for older kids, even though the age range starts at 18m. The recording feature is a fun addition. Sound quality is adequate for a kid&rsquo;s toy.
