It was very disappointing to see how they looked(especially on the back side where the battery hatch is. One of the Walkies has a considerable scratch you can feel when passing your finger over it. I was going to put each walkie talkie into a separate gift bag for two five year old nephews of mine, but based on their appearance it would look like I had bought them &quot;used&quot;. (Mind you 5 year old boys aren't known for delicately handling toys anyway and they wouldn't care! The plastic feels cheap but they work. These aren't the Fischer Price walkies I had when I was a kid that's for sure. For the cost, you shouldn't expect a high end , durable product anyway and the fact is children WILL have fun with these! *Please note I may have just bought the bad pair of the bunch. As I mentioned the package was SEALED when I bought it. No one at the store tampered with it. I don't blame Toys R Us at all.
