My opinion quickly changed after repeatedly trying to tune it, it was impossible. My husband and I both tried multiple times but could not get the guitar to sound even close to in tune. We agreed it would be mean to give this to our daughter, because even if she is playing it correctly it would sound horrible. I do not recommend buying this for any child. I was disappointed that the guitar cords were not matching notes most of them sounded the same. we needed to spend xtra money to get them changed. since my 6 year old son decided he wanted to use it too to learn to play guitar. It would also have been nice to have a strap come with it. we purshased one seperatly again xtra money spent. we were hoping that the guitar would be a starter for a young child who wants to play but were again disapointed that at the price point we had to spend more money to get it to the level it needed to be to be able to be played properly. the only positive I have is that the casing guitar itself is sturdy and the size is grest for my children. My 7 year actually makes some decent music with it!
