The issue everyone is having is that there is an excess piece of plastic that has to be slit through to secure the upper bowl. During manufacture the plastic leaked over and closed the space. This is why the center tower is not closing completely and preventing the bottom from locking in place. A simple kitchen knife solved the problem and ours fits and works perfectly fine. BUT, the accessories do not snap into place, they just rest in the assigned receptacles. As a result each time she goes to play with them they pop out and she tosses them into the yard!
