NO INSTRUCTION ENCLOSED!This is horrible! How on earth are you supposed to build this thing? You open the box to find some paints, various tubes of ...something... two rolls of what looks like gauze some pieces of round card board, a string, some varioius small squares of paper or something. and that is it. from this you're supposed to figure out how to make a volcano WITH NO INSTRUCTIONS! Good luck! My child was in frustrated tears and disappointment and I was not much help. In the end we we got out some tall narrow cups, filled them with vinegar and bakingsoda and loaded it with water color for effect. Don't need this kit for that. so disappointing. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

Love itI'm not sure if EduScience just added instructions or the reviewers below didn't realize there were instructions in the box, but there were definitely instructions included in this box. It only takes 5 steps anyway to make this volcano. My kids had so much fun dipping the plaster tape and putting it around the cardboard. Just by looking at the items given, a monkey could figure out what you need to do with them, so it's unfortunate that the reviewers below didn't figure it out. My kids loved every aspect of this project. The only time that I had to help them was to tape it down (double-sided tape). The end result was awesome, though. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars was because it doesn't include the items to make the volcano erupt (vinegar baking soda color dye), and it also didn't come with enough paint. It's enough paint to cover the entire volcano, but it's not enough to really make it look neat. Thankfully, I have all the paint colors stocked up in my house, so I just gave my kids extra brown paint. ****This is a great rainy day project.****

needs measurementsThis is ok but not enough paint and it does not tell you what amounts of ingredients to mix to make the lava. Still looking it up now but wanted to write this while I was here seeing if anyone posted an answer.

FrustratingMy 6 year old and I set out to make this volcano and it was very frustrating getting the string onto the tube and base properly. It kept falling off or pulling the tube to one side and my son and I were both very disappointed. After about 30 minutes of messing with knotted string and bases that didn't split right, we finally finished it. Now we are taking a break before we get started on the strips and painting.

Fun Project - not enough paint providedIt was a fun project. I did it with my 5 year old...and with teamwork, he was able to complete it. They don't provide enough paint with the kit, so plan on buying your own (really cheap at [@]). All in all it was fun and I'd do it again.

Terrible! You know how you save these things for snowy or rainy days and the kids are just whiny all morning for a project and this comes to mind. We open it in excitment and take out all the pieces to find NO instructions. THe string the tube, the tape all need to be put together right??? Complete waste of money to not have some sort of how to put this together for the parent. Do not buy this thing.

Easy and Fun!I bought this for my 7 year old son. He like to make and build things. I had to help him a bit with the frame but after that he was on his own. It is easy to do and really came out great - like the picture on the box... The glowing orange paint is not super bright but nice enough that you get the idea. My son is very proud of his volcano!
