Good little modelThis was my first Speed Champions kit, purchased because I own a Mustang and thought it would be fun to have the Lego version. And this is a great little model - not difficult to put together, and pretty good looking. The stickers can be a bit of a pain, especially if you're a perfectionist and must have them centered and completely level, but I'm not so I didn't stress about them much. I ended up using a couple of the random pieces I have around my place to add a spoiler to the car, just because I like the look a bit better (see my photo for how it turned out, and judge for yourself). All in all, a great kit for the price.

Blue car pieces and nice techniquesWhile building the set, there are many Studs Not On Top (SNOT) techniques that are used to create smooth curves on this set. That combined with the pretty, blue 'car pieces' - including the new wheel wells in blue for the first time, make this a great parts pack to build your own blue cars - which is the main reason for my purchase of this set. I believe the silver rim designs are new as well.
By far the worst part of this set is its reliance on stickers. This is especially noticeable on the back "windows" and headlights. The grill and more subtle stickers are fairly nice.
The car is also a bit long and having 4-stud-wide windshield looks a bit goofy given the actual Mustang GT.
Once assembled, it seems very sturdy and functional as a race car to play with.

Good Job Lego!!!!!This set was fast & fun to build, and fun to diddle with, I've been with Lego since I was basically born, but one simple problem is that the stickers adhesive don't stay on well, and the mustang front end is a mess, but this set incorporates exhaust, which makes it better than the corvette set (sticker set), the car is solid, thanks Lego for finally giving me real cars from real brands, but I'd rather have printed bricks, but for the price, I couldn't beat that, the set gets credit for what its accomplished.

Nice for its sizeThis was my first Speed Champions purchase. The finished product could be used as a display model, for play value with kids, or maybe even to add a vehicle to your city display.
The build is fairly easy as far as connecting bricks is concerned. The only real challenge is to get those stickers lined up just right. Some of them are very tiny as they fit a 1x1 sloped tile surface. A little patience will go a long way with these builds. It comes together nicely and does in many ways resemble a blue Ford Mustang. Along with the build is a driver with a printed Ford torso as well as a wrench accessory that is useful for removing the tire rims. You get two styles of rims to choose from. There is also a small lap counter build to go with the overall racing theme.
Overall, we are satisfied with the car. It is not entirely flawless as it does look a little longer than it should in proportion to its width. However, given the size and available parts, it is a nice build. The price is also right as it allows afFORDability for many people. We will probably buy some more cars in the near future from this line,

Nice Set For Mustang FansWell, I'll say this set got my approval! I'm a Mustang guy, and when I saw this new kit for the first time I rushed to the Lego Store as soon as possible. I've gotten a few Speed Champions set, such as the LaFerrari and the Corvette, and this one fits into the theme perfectly. It took me about 30 minutes to build, which seemed reasonable. I don't care for the headlights on the car, they seem to much to the side of the body rather than at the front. The stickers that resemble them look like the real car though. I love the minifigure, and the interior of the car looks great. This set has many details. I like how they actually bothered to put the 5.0 on the side of it, and that made it feel like Lego wanted a quality and detailed car for me. The back looks great, and the exhaust pipe technique looks cool. Overall, this set seems pretty well done. The only thing is that the front headlights are like I said, "to the side" of the car rather than at the front. It's a very detailed model, but it doesn't seem any better than the Corvette. This is indeed a nice set for Mustang fans, and if possible, I would love to see a Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat model for the Speed Champions, since that's my dream car. :D

This Mustang rocks!Pretty cool build - I like Mustangs, so I decided to purchase this, It's larger than your typical Lego City car; Speed Champions series are a nice cross between the more detailed Creator models and the minifigure level models. This is the first Speed Champions model that I purchased, so I can't compare it to others, but the build was straightforward and not very challenging. The minifigure is your standard one, and he can sit inside the car. My only gripe is that there were many small stickers to apply - not my favorite step in building, but I also understand how it enhances the model. Bottom line; pretty cool car.

My new car! This is my first 'Speed Champions' set and I love it! Always wanted a Ford Mustang and now have my very own one, albeit a smaller version.
Easy and enjoyable build. The amount of pieces means it builds into a fairly robust model. The windscreen can be quickly removed/replaced to allow the Minifigure to be put in the driving seat. I won't admit to playing with it in the same way a child would but I'm sure it would hold up to some reasonable play and, of course, it can be rebuilt. Love the Minifigure and accessories too.
My only gripe would be the stickers. They are difficult and fiddly to place perfectly. I had to use tweezers to stop getting frustrated and, because of this, pre-printed bricks would be preferable.
I now have three other Speed Champions sets to build (Lego is definitely one of the best stress relievers on the market) and hope to get the rest before long.
