    Xbox 360 - LEGO Dimensions - Starter Pack (71173) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 359.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a great Game! At first I was very leery of buying this for the X-Box 360 do to many early reports of it freezing up and not being playable. That wasn't an issue at all if you follow the instructions that clearly say to make sure you're connected to the internet to receive the proper updates. I got the system on sale, and at 59.99 it was a great buy. That price allowed me to buy some level packs and fun packs to go with it. My son and I had a great time playing and I like how you need to interact with the Portal to complete the levels. The only issue I have with it is I wish the Portal was wireless. With kids running around I foresee the Portal or X-Box taking a beating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome game!! Highly recommended. I bough this game set for my son on his 8th birthday. I've played other kid games with him but eventually loose interest. This game...... It's just well put together and keeps you busy. The game pad where you place the action figures actually place part in the game. You have to solve puzzles that involve moving and figurines around the game pad. I'm a very busy man and this game has helped and allowed me to spend tons of time with my beatiful son. He needed help since we opened the box. I'm really great full for this game. Sometimes in life you take things and your loved ones for granted. I love the fact that I'm able to spend even more time with my son.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but.... Game and gameplay decent but found it redundant. After you initially beat the game you can have some fun going back and finding collectable or doing the adventure worlds. I didn't like however that in order to get certain collectables you had to buy several different packs, some of which I had no interest in. Also the level packs where at best lack luster, pushing several sequels of movies into about a 20 minute game expirence. There should be more options for level packs or add on new adventure worlds. I don't know anything about Ninjago or Chima. I felt the pricing was a bit high to. Would also love to see more characters come out besides those based on what adventure levels there are. Would really love to see more Scooby Doo as well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Better if your child can read My son is 7 and a half and has beginner reading skills. He really enjoyed putting together the Levi portal and the characters, but when he was playing the game he really struggled to figure out what he needed to do. He is really good with with a lot of xbox games and for many he is able to figure out how to play and what he needs to do without reading, but Lefo Dimensions was not that way. He likes sky landers and plays that a lot with no issues. The lowest age in the recommended range for this product is 7 but I would recommend waiting until older unless you plan to play this with your child a lot as they get used to it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the money (speaking as a parent not a gamer) Compared to Disney Infinity, this system and the characters works out to be very expensive. Plus you have to build everything, which is fine but you need lots of space to keep these things without them falling apart or getting dusty. My 8 year old son has Lego Xbox360 games and he decided it would be better to play those than have this, so we took it back and exchanged for more Disney Infinity characters. I was proud of him for making quite a mature and responsible decision and I was extremely happy with ToysRus for taking the product back. Things like that make me happy to shop at ToysRus over any place else. Thank you!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cool Addition to Lego Line.....if you can figure it out Lego is one of those brands I buy on name alone. This XBOX 360 game was no exception which is why I was surprised when the game itself didn't really come with instructions. It came with a building pattern so we could assemble the lego structure, but once the game was booted up, it was all trial and error. The menu tells you how to move, jump, etc..... but there is no clear purpose (that I could find). The game is supposed to be a puzzle to the best of my knowledge but should have had a bit more direction on how to get started. That aside, the lego figures are adorable and the video is sharp. My 11 year old loves it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Game! I bought this for my son for his birthday and it has been a great hit! All 3 of my boys, ages 4-8, love it and it and it's easy for all of them to play at the different ages. It's very easy to hook up and build, and we love that there are so many different options for expansion packs. The only negative I have was it was not very clear in the instructions about building the Batmobile. We looked everywhere for an instruction book before we learned the instructions are in the game after you start playing. Great game overall!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing! Despite a high price , several major bugs and glitches, no levels for three of the game's themes (including 2015's #1 movie, Jurassic World), a lot of downloading required to access basic parts of the game, and most levels being relatively short, Lego Dimensions still somehow manages to be an absolutely amazing game, with a great story, and amazing voice acting. Featuring 14 popular brands, each with their own playable characters, hub worlds, and rebuildable vehicles, there's truly something for everyone. If you love Lego's original themes, You'll enjoy The Lego Movie, Ninjago, and Legends of Chima worlds and characters, though only Ninjago has a level. If you're a fan of Sci-fi, there's Doctor Who, Portal 2, Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, and Jurassic World worlds, levels (except Jurassic World, though you can buy additional Doctor Who, Back to the Future, Ghostbusters and Portal 2 level packs), and characters. Are you a fan of really old video games? Then you'll love playing segmented versions of famous Midway Arcade games (though no Mortal Kombat, for obvious reasons).Comic book fan? There's DC comics. Love fantasy movies? Exploring the worlds of The Lord of the Rings and The Wizard of Oz. There's even The Simpsons and Scooby-Doo for cartoon fans. The game acts as an incredible crossover, mixing some of your favourite characters with some of your favourite vehicles and locations, especially in the DC comics, The Simpsons, Ninjago, Back to the Future, Lord of the Rings, and Ghostbusters levels. My personal favourite themes are Portal 2, Doctor Who, and Back to the Future, with my favourite levels being Aperture Science Enrichment Centre, A Dalektable Adventure, and Riddle Earth. The amount of absurdly amazing crossovers you can make is nearly infinite. The gameplay is really fun overall, and the Toypad integration is really quite superb. Moving characters around the Toypad to solve puzzles never felt tedious, but instead engaging and fun.
