At 6 months he liked to be pushed around the house on it, at 8 months to start to stand and push it himself, and at 18 months to ride it up and down the sidewalk. The only assembly is to install the rear handle into two slots. Looked easy enough, except it was a terribly tight fit. I couldn't do it, and only with a huge amount of force did my son-in-law finally get it to enter. She pushes and pulls it all around and loves the longer songs it plays and dances all over. The only thing wrong with this product is that there isn't a lower volume option and there is no ON/OFF button for the music, only a play mode and a musical mode. For quiet time before bed we have to take it away so she won't play with it.
