Cheap plastic release mechanismThis seat is very large and is difficult to install and remove, also if using in rear facing configuration you better have a big back seat or you will be driving while hugging the steering wheel. We have had the seat for a while and find the release mechanism to be sticky at best. Sometimes we have to push really hard on the release tabs on both sides of the seat before the seatbelt will release. This has resulted in one of the release tabs, made of plastic, to break off. Now the release mechanism is really difficult to get to work. I will be contacting the manufacturer to try get a refund.

4 out of 5We moved my son into this seat when he was 8 months old, and kept him rear=facing until he was 2. We then turned him around because he hated not being able to see, and it was incredibly difficult to get him into the seat. Overall, I'm satisfied with the seat (it's WAY BETTER than the Eddie Bauer one in my husband's car), but there are still some downsides to it. Pros: -The click wheel for tightening vs the strap is GREAT and so much easier, however it is difficult to turn in the frigid winter. -It's comfortable, even without strap cushions, my son never complains (about the seat anyway.) -Easy to adjust the height of the belts, no need to rethread (that would have been a dealbreaker) -Very affordable Cons: -while I love the adjustable straps, sometimes they don't stay in the position you put them in. Every time I put him in the seat I have to hike the straps back up because they've fallen again. -The headrest velcro is not good quality and now it does not stay together and falls off -it's very wide, you could never put two of them side by side. The sides are also very high which makes it difficult to get into.
