It was easy for her to do on her own in the backseat without our help. She really enjoyed it and it kept her quiet and occupied for well over an hour. She received the bunny and puppy versions for Christmas and it is Dec.30th and she's completed both. She did have lots of leftover pieces, but it looks really good, and she's content with it, and I'd rather too many than too few pieces. They resemble 'beanie boos' which she collects, and now her four year old sister wants to spend her xmas gift card on her own plush craft animal craft :) I liked this better than the pillow even, she found it easier to do and more interesting.My only complaint would be it was hard to order these online. I had to stalk the site and grab them soon as they came available because most of the versions were only in stores. That item was awesome. So great, that my 6 year old asked for the puppy for his birthday. We are so disapointed with the puppy. The butterfly, which we loved, had all the spacing holes precut and numbered, which made the craft VERY easy. The pieces of material went in well and spacing was easy to see. The puppy, does not have this. The semi-hard shell of the puppy is not marked at all, and for a child, was difficult to see where each colour should start/end. He's needing a lot of help trying to figure out where to put pieces so that there aren't spaces or the pieces aren't too close together. We started with the nose area and when getting close to the tip of the nose, the foam imploded and now the puppy has a fairly flat face. Some of the holes seem to crack a little as well and I suspect not all pieces will stay in long term. The wall hanging version is very solid. This one is not. This item is frustrating for my child, as well as myself. I may buy the hanging style again or the pillows but these animals do not seem worth the money. We are very disapointed.
