He is almost 4 years old and he LOVES it to much. Sliding out of bed in the morning, all I hear is &quot;Wheee!&quot; loudly and happily from his room. Talk about starting your day off right! He has so much fun playing underneath (we also bought the fire station curtain set to go with it), it is his little fort. Putting it together was a breeze. I managed to do it myself in about an hour and a half while wrangling my son who was SUPER excited. The height is perfect for my son. I was worried that it might be a bit too high, but since it is a junior loft, he isn't very high off the ground and the railing (if you use the right thickness of mattress) is high enough that I am not worried about him falling out. My only complaint is that it that the ladder seems a bit flimsy. It isn't as sturdy as I thought it would be. It isn't a hazard or anything, but my son was worried climbing it the first couple times because it was a little shaky. It was easy for me to put together without the help of my husband Which was great! And my son loves the slide and being able to play underneath the bed, which has freed up a lot of room in his bedroom. He can climb the ladder slide down safely by himself. It's not as tall as a traditional bunk bed so it makes me feel better about him sleeping that high. There is plenty of room under the bed for his toys and to play under. It did take some time to build, but I was able to build it by myself. The only reason why I gave the bed 4 stars, is because of the sharp corners.
