I have tried wetting the suction before pressing firmly on the glass- it would only stick for about 10 mins. And yes, I even licked the dang thing thinking that would probably help. It just won't stay stuck to my window. And when I'm driving i constantly hear a &quot;clanking&quot; sound of it bouncing off the glass. So annoying. It doesn't even keep the sun from shinning through. I don't know why its still up in my car. I did have a little trouble with one corner when I first applied it but there's an extra &quot;click&quot; feature (as I call it) that helps you get it to stay in place. It can be a little tricky to get the suction cups to stick initially. Sometimes the suction releases and the shade falls. I like that this shade stretches to fit different shapes. The suction gadgets are a nice idea and really do stick. The problem is getting them off. If you stretch the entire length of your window, the pull-tabs end up smashed in the corner of the window and unreachable. The fabric does stretch, but I fear my two year old will have it pulled and ripped in no time at all. I also dislike the idea of not being able to put the window down while the shade is up. As for sun protection, it does just as good as the rest so-so. I would not recommend for use with toddlers who can reach it. This shade is not my favorite choice. The shade stretches to fit my window in my car and could easily stretch to fit a larger window. It was very easy to install by pressing the suction cups. The suction cups work well even when I tugged on them and are easy to remove by pulling on the tabs. The shade doesn't block my view but does help keep the sun out of my babies eyes.
