The Primo Viaggio SIP 5-65 Convertible follows child from infancy through toddlerhood by converting from rear-facing to a forward-facing car seat. This premium car seat comes with EPS side foam in the shell and in the head panels for superior Side Impact Protection (SIP). The SIP is easy to adjust, even with your baby in the seat. The wide padded seat includes a specially shaped removable cushion for newborns and a quick release five point safety harness. Primo Viaggio Convertible is fastened to the vehicle by means of standard lap or shoulder lap vehicle belts or using UAS connector and Top Tether straps according to FMVSS 213 and CMVSS 213 Regulations. In rearward facing mode for children 5-45 pounds (2,3 to 20,4 kg). In forward facing mode by means of UAS connector and Top Tether strap for children 22-65 pounds (10 to 30 kg). In forward facing mode by means of lap or shoulder lap belts for children 22-65 pounds (10 to 30 kg).
Rear facing for infants 5-45 lbs; forward facing from 22-65 lbs Side Impact Protection easily adjusts to 10 different positions, even with child in the seat, ensuring the best and safest fit. Energy-absorbing foam, Expanded Poly Styrene, in shell and head panel protects child's head and torso from impact forces. The integrated rebound bar provides superior protection in case of rear collision. If forward facing mode, rebound bar easily folds into the base.

<span itemprop="description">I bought this carseat a year ago. I love it right away as rear facing, it was solid. Fast forward a few months I turned my baby front facing once he hit 30 lbs. I love the size and the easy of adjusting it. (I wished it had cup holders but that is minor)
I've had the seat for a year and we were in a single car roll over. My vehicle rolled about 8 times!!!! My 3 children were with me. I had a 7 year old in a booster, a 6 year old in a booster and my 2 year old in his peg perego carseat. The 2 in the booster seats came away with scrapes and lesions that required sutures and my 6 year old is in a c collar for 3 weeks. My baby in the carseat didn't have a scratch and walked away with a small bruise on his collar bone.
Having my children in proper seats saved their lives!</span>

<span itemprop="description">I bought this for my first child 3 years ago and loved it soo much that I purchased another for my 7 month old. I purchased it for the great safety rating, but also because it was one that easily fit into my small car (hyundai genesis coup) in rear facing! It's very easy to install as rear or forward facing, easy to adjust the straps and headrest. Also easy to clean, I learned this when my 3 year old threw up in it. My son doesn't complain about sitting in it and he doesn't get all sweaty in the summer months either. The fabric is very soft and breathable. I would definitely recommend this carseat!</span>

No, this is designed to be installed in the car and not be removed with baby. It is a heavy seat: Although it works for newborns it can be quite inconvenient&nbsp; Peg perego primo viaggo 4-35 is the seat your looking for. I have both pegperego seats for my son! He used the 4-35 until he was 13months and we switched him to the 5-65.&nbsp;
