It was impossible to open - I bruised my fingers trying to pinch the latch, and even my husband could only open one of them. After I used it, it took 5 minutes to try to rinse and scrub out all of the banana bits, and I STILL didn't get it fully clean. A feeder I can't open, and can't clean? I have a baby boy I really didn&rsquo;t want pink. Either way I kept it cause it&rsquo;s not a big deal. Put a frozen banana in and after hand wash, dishwasher (top rack as per instructions) and soak in vinegar and detergent, there were still pieces of banana stuck all over the mesh. Good idea but poor design. Mesh should be removable for cleaning. They are a little tricky to clean though, and i have seen refill mesh for them but cant figure out how to remove the old one without breaking the whole thing. Once we got him started on rice cereal we decided that trying fruit was the next best step. Along with a plastic bib, they are a great success, he LOVES to suck on Watermelon and Banana. He gets to start to try food and I don't have to worry if he's going to choke. He needs a little help holding still as he's a little young (4.5 months) but he's starting to get the hang of it.
