<span itemprop="description">I bought this pump 3 years ago and used this with my first born. The portability of this pump is great, especially because it is small. I took this with me on many camping trips and on long (up to 3 week long) road trips. I've also been able to sling the pump on my shoulder and was able to do things around the house while pumping (a time saver!). This pump was used a LOT and by the time I stopped breastfeeding, I had enough milk leftover to donate to a local milk bank. I'm about to have my second baby and i'm looking forward to using it again.
The only thing I don't like about this product is the breast shields - like ALL brands of pumps, the shields are large and bulky. When left fastened to a bottle they are top heavy and I've accidentally knocked over bottles of milk actually cried about it. Maybe the development team at Medela can develop smaller shields that can ideally be worn discretely under a shirt? And put a one way valve on them so if they tip while fastened to a bottle they don't spill? The membranes aren't strong enough to act as a one-way. I tried making my own shields and failed but think it can be done.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I got this pump as a gift. The suction is great, motor isn’t to loud and the best part was that I could clip it to my belt or wear it around my neck to pump while I did other things.
Down side, it’s an open system meaning the milk can flow into the tubing and motor. It happens if your batteries are low or if your at the wrong angle (but mostly if the batteries are low). This puts your milk (liquid gold) at risk of bacteria contamination if the pump isn’t cleaned properly. Also some small inexpensive parts had to be replaced regularly, this was just annoying more than anything else.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I bought this not too long ago and I absolutely love it. I don't pump that often but this breast pump gets the job done I need it. I'm coming from having the Medela manual breast pump which wore down while using it for my second baby - so this electric pump is a huge upgrade. It's easy to use, easy to clean, and takes up minimal space in my cupboard.
I appreciate that there are multiple pumping strength settings, so you can pump at a level that's comfortable for you. The pump is not void of sound while in use but it's low and soothing enough to no wake the baby while he sleeps and I pump.
All in all a great purchase for me!</span>

<span itemprop="description">I bought the medela swing single breast pump, because it was the only one all the nearby pharmacies carry. I wasn’t planning on pumping, but when I gave birth to my late preterm, i had no choice. I used the Symphony in the hospital which cracked my nips and the swing is just as agonizing. It spills milk often (the seal of the suction cap opens while pumping), it takes FOREVER to pump (at least an hour or more) and it’s not confortable (I’ve tried many settings). This pump is best suited for the occasional pumping mom, maybe. I’ve already had a few lumps in my breasts, because it’s not good at emptying my milk. It also cost a good chunk of change, despite having coverage from my insurance (I would have rather invested in something better). I also think the bottles that come with it are cheap and the bottle head gives my baby gas.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I’ve been using this pump a couple of times a week and it works great. You need to make sure it’s correctly positioned in order to optimize the suction but otherwise it’s very easy to use. My baby doesn’t like the modela bottles so I transfer the milk into a different one. Only used the pump for a few weeks but so far I love it. The bottle pieces are easy to clean and assemble. It’s also helpful to be able to carry the pump around if necessary.</span>

It does the job well. The features are simple, and effective. The funnel was the correct size for me, so I didn't need to buy a new one. I was also very glad that two extra white suction flaps came with the set, as that item seems delicate and easy to loose or break.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I found this pump to work fairly well. It works best when you press firmly to have a good seal and when your breasts are full, as I seemed to have trouble if they were at all soft. Make sure to replace the membrane as well if it seems as though all of a sudden your pump doesn't have very good suction. The tubing for the pump does get cloudy if you wash it, but does not effect it's function.I am completely disappointed however in the fact that my pump, which is much less than a year old had an issue with the transformer (charger). Customer service at Medela was good, however they do not cover issues with the transformer and wanted $30 for a new one. Very disappointing as you are already spending hundreds of dollars on a pump just to have to replace the parts a short while later. If I could do it over again, I would definitely look into other brands and compare their warranty, as well as invest the money into the double rather than the single.</span>

<span itemprop="description">This breastpump works really well. I used the hospital grade Symphony version at the hospital, but found when I came home that this pump worked just as well.I know many people recommend the freestyle, but I honestly don't know how you could pump both breasts comfortably at once. I found with this pump, I had to hold it quite tightly to make a good seal in order for it to work well and pull out a lot of milk. So I'd be curious to know if it's the same with the Freestyle.For the amount of pumping I did, this worked really well. It was easy to use, clean and store.As well, the size of shield this comes with is probably too small for most people, I ended up having to buy the 27mm shields. But wait to buy these as you never know until you're milk comes in and what your body decides to do! :)</span>

<span itemprop="description">Good product. i got this because i wanted to pump once in a while in case i go out and for my SO to help out at night. So far I've used it almost every night, so more than recommended. I would maybe get a double pump if I were to do it again. The motor does make noise, especially if you go up in pump speed but it is not intolerable. I would recommend for someone who wants to pump every once in a while but if you think you might end up pumping more often,its probably a good idea to invest in one of the more expensive double pumps. Depending on my production, I did 100ml in about 20 min.</span>

<span itemprop="description">So glad I purchased this pump before my daughter was born - had a problem bringing my milk supply in and this pump was a god send as I didn't want to formula feed her for a long time. It's nice that you can travel with it and it's quiet, however, I find the membrane a little finicky and sometimes when I turn the pump on it doesn't suction I have take everything apart and rebuild it.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I couldn't afford a double pump so I got this one. The quality is good but you shouldn't rely on using the Swing every day (not that Medela recommends that anyway). I guess the system is different from the double ones, it takes a LONG time to pump a bottle. It's also not "whisper-quite". If you take it to work-everyone will know what you're doing on your break. But for once-twice a week at home pumping it's a good product. Small and perfect while traveling.Will definitely invest into a double pump if I have a second baby.</span>

<span itemprop="description">If you are planning on exclusively breast feeding but plan of pumping a couple days a week to once a day every day to build freezer stash well I say get this and don't spend a extra 200 just to make the pumping process 10 mins faster by doing both sides at the same time. Maybe if you were pumping exclusively but besides that aint worth the 400 dollar price tag. go with the swing has great suction and gets the job done.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I used it almost every day for the first 3-4 months and used it up to 4 times a day. I started with the flexible pump neck attachment and it worked great at first but as time went on the flexible bit stopped being so flexible and i lost a bit of suction, but i just got anew head and it was great again. I never had any issues with the motor and i used it quite a bit. I never used the battery function so i dont know about suction on that mode.</span>
