It did not disappoint me at all. It is perfect size for 2-3 kids while it doesn't take too much space from our backyard. The lip is great too because it is lightweighted and has not flied off yet even with moderate wind. Bonus is it is cute and lightweighted so it is easy to lift and clean the bottom. I have never experienced rain leaking or wind blowing the lid off. It is a nice size for more than 1 child, and it looks nice on our deck when the lid is on. In the fall, we shovel out the sand into those big buckets with lids (from the hardware store), and store the sandbox in the shed. This has been done every year, which has probably helped with it lasting so long! The only negative is the price!
