The item we got, however, was covered in grease of some sort all along one side when we took it out of the box which also stained the plastic.</span>

Yes, that&rsquo;s how I use it but don&rsquo;t have it attached to the wall. &nbsp;It&rsquo;s best not to fully expand it so it has more support. &nbsp;Total length is about 100&rdquo;.
