He was 2.5 years old at the time, and I worried that some of the games would be challenging, or a bit frustrating to him. While I wouldn't recommend it for all kids his age at the time, it was definitely captivating. Every once in a while the cartridge gets lost (so I really would recommend digital downloads over cartridges for a younger kid), but it always gets met with just as much excitement. Now at 3.5 years, my son still loves this game. Even the older kids enjoy it (even though it is young for them).
