The backpack is included. To have them both together is great, and if you want to, you can unclip the harness so the backpack can be worn alone, for example to school. To have the harness also, is very helpful, especially in airports when traveling!

It&rsquo;s not very long at all. Maybe one arm&rsquo;s length (maybe a little less). It&rsquo;s not expandable or stretchy either. It&rsquo;s made of the nylon material.
