Previously I had been using the basic 'C' shape nursing pillow and after 4 months the cushion has flattened and baby keeps sinking in between the pillow and myself. I also needed to use another pillow to place under the nursing pillow due to the flatness.
Now I'm using this pillow for the first time as I write this and it's a world of difference! My back is fully supported and I'm not slouching anymore, as well as the cushion feels very firm and is holding baby at the perfect height, no more second pillow! I love how snug it fits around my waist and the pocket it has is super helpful! Another neat feature that I didn't notice from the image is that it has little bumps on the right and left side that acts as little pillows for baby's head.
Great purchase and I look forward to using this pillow daily! Considering buying more for other new mothers in the family!</span>

<span itemprop="description">I resisted buying a pillow just for breastfeeding, but eventually I got tired of 8-12x per day of propping my arms up with bed/couch pillows — not to mention having the baby spit up on them. This pillow provides adequate support for holding a newborn in cross-cradle and cradle positions, and if you add your own pillow on the side you can do football hold as well. Also useful added support to carry the baby back to its bassinet without waking it up if it falls asleep nursing. I only wish it came with a spare cover so you can have a rotation for when it needs to be washed.</span>

In the hospital I used a normal pillow which was difficult, then the U shaped one when I got home. After a week of using it, I became so frustrated because my son kept slipping between me and the pillow and I could never get it snug enough (insert hormonal, sleep deprived crying!!) I thought 'I really need a pillow that buckles!!!!!' and headed to the store to look at my options, assuming that nothing like that even existed! I picked this up, even though it was a little pricey, because I just needed something that was going to work and I figured I would be using it 6-8 times a day so it would be worth it! I sound like I'm getting paid to write this review (as one reviewer actually thought people were doing because she didn't really like the pillow) but honestly, this pillow allowed me to nurse with total comfort, support and ease. If my son fell asleep on it, I would just scoop him up and put him down (I appreciate that would be much more difficult for C-section Mamas) The buckle releases quietly, and has supports for you wrists to rest on if you use a cross-cradle hold position. My son is 9 months old and I still use it for the three times he feeds a day (if I'm at home of course, it's not very portable!!!) I love love love this pillow and by far, the best thing I own so far (well, maybe tied with a video baby monitor!!) Enjoy Mamas!</span>

Since it has the back built in you had to always have it connected to you which became annoying when my son would fall asleep on me. Also if I was sitting and then needed the cushion I had to get up first, tie it around, then put my son on. Maybe not a big deal, but I had a c-section and getting up and down was a challenge at times. I also had a big baby, so the concern of baby falling between pillow and me wasn't an issue. I ended up selling it and just keeping my regular nursing pillow. It did give good back support, but for me the pain of putting it all together before and taking it all apart after was not worth it.It also can't be used later for tummy time or any kind of prop - we used the regular nursing pillow for when my son was starting to sit and we put it around him to catch his topping over.</span>

I was lucky to find it second hand at a thrift store for about $3 and just washed the cover and we had been struggling with nursing and this pillow did wonders to help us. We just found out I'm expecting again and while excitedly getting a preliminary idea of what I may need, I noticed one of my cats urinated on it unfortunately. It is definitely worth the money and I will be buying another one before this baby is born. It was so comfortable and I'm not a skinny girl but the strap adjusts. And my daughter seemed very comfortable on it while nursing. I also was able to bring it with us everywhere, I just put it around the side of her stroller and clipped it on and brought it everywhere with us. I had other pillows and this one was the best by far =)</span>
