It was very simple and we began making bracelets before you knew it. My daughter was able to make several different things and was happy to hand them out to her friends. She also had a sleepover and the other two girls loved the KumiKreator as well. Well we recieved it, got it all set up even though the instructions were lacking and she made a cute bracelet. She tried several times to make another one but the strings kept getting jammed and were becoming a wasted mess. Tried to re thread it with new string and I gave it a try and it immediately jammed up again. So glad I didn't spend money on this. It was a no go for us. Maybe we just got a bad one out of the bunch. I love the variety of the thread included in the kit. The colors and quality of the bracelet are much better than the diy kind we have done. The KumiKreator is supposed to be one of the top toys of 2018 and the commercials had my 7yo hooked. As soon as she saw one she fell in love and asked on repeat if we could go get one. Well, we got one. She was so excited when we were taking it out of the box for the first time. We unboxed it together and went over the instructions together before we attempted to make a bracelet. It took her and I about 15 minutes together to get everything set up for the first bracelet. We got 1/4 of the way through, and it jammed. What do you do? KumiKreator&rsquo;s YouTube channel said to completely undo what we set up for the first bracelet and then go through the &lsquo;quick&rsquo; process of taking the spools out and putting them back in. We then re-set it all up and get 1/2 way through the second attempt of the first bracelet&hellip;and it jammed again. So now we have to completely re-do everything again. By the third failed attempt my 7yo is done. She&rsquo;s disappointed and doesn&rsquo;t even want to play with it anymore. She leaves the rooms, and I keep on trying to figure this machine out. I give up. I contact the company, and they send me a return shipping label so they can look at our bracelet maker. I was really impressed with the customer service overall. They kept in contact with me over email and then I received a phone call telling me that they were able to fix our bracelet maker and they will be sending it back to us with a Fashion Pack as well that will make up to 24 extra bracelets on top of the 10 that come with the original purchase. I went over all the issues on the phone with the customer representative, and they assured me all was well, and if I were to have any issues, please call, and they will fix everything right away. Well, the &lsquo;fixed&rsquo; KumiKreator arrived in the mail with the replacement pack plus a completed bracelet for her. We took it out of the box, I set it up while she watched to cut down on time, and then she made her first bracelet, and IT WORKED right off the bat! My 7yo was beyond thrilled. We made a couple of bracelets with zero issues! My girls really enjoy making brackets with this. They always pull it out when friends come over and demonstrate it and then together make matching bracelets. It&rsquo;s really cute. They have already expressed their desire to take it to their cousins house for holidays to make braceets with their cousins. But you will need some scissors that are not included. It includes one Color KumiKreator Cool Maker Machine. Our set included 88 spools of string in the colors teal, light pink, magenta and yellow. I don&rsquo;t know if this is the standard colors included with the bracelet makers or if there are other bracelet makers with different colors. There are multiple refill kits with a variety of different colors for purchase. The kit also includes a design booklet with 10 different bracelets. The designs are easy to follow and it tells you where to load the colors in the maker. I like that there is a measuring guide included so the right length can be made. There are 8 silver clasp and 2 metallic pink for finishing off the bracelet. These are neat and allow the bracelets to easily be taken on and off. The direction booklet is easy to follow. It has detailed directions with diagrams. Some steps may require help from an adult. My 8 year old did need my help to get the string in place and loaded into the KumiKreator. She was good to go after that. The handle can only go in one direction and it shows an arrow of which way to spin it. These bracelets remind me of the ones I use to make at camp as a kid that would take hours. It took my daughter less than 5 minutes! So far she made two bracelets the &ldquo;Dream Beam&rdquo; for herself and made the &ldquo;Sunrise&rdquo; bracelet for her sister. Her 4 year old sister actually cranked the handle and made her own bracelet. This set is recommended for ages 8 and up. A 4 year old would never be able to load the machine and I can see only be capable of spinning the handle while an adult held the machine in place. A few family members have already put in a request for bracelets. Her dad wants to order one of the yarn sets that has his favorite football team&rsquo;s colors and have her make a bracelet. I definitely recommend the KumiKreator Bracelet Maker. We have plans to purchase some of the refill kits.
