Over all I really like this set.

Oh and another con the middle wheels are to high they don’t touch the ground and I followed the instructions to the letter.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I was really taken aback by this kit. I knew the box photo looked good but somehow it doesn't do the actual product justice and, to be honest, neither do my photos. The little details are what makes this set and, despite being a grown adult, I spent an overly long time playing with Platform 93/4 after building the station platform. The wall is on a "swing" so you can actually push the included luggage through the wall and it gave me an inordinate amount of pleasure.
The build itself was incredibly fun and gave me so much pleasure. I am a bit of a train fan in general so the tie in for me with Harry Potter was a no brainer but I was pleasantly surprised at how detailed the Hogwarts Express itself is. It really does look like a steam engine and I loved the little dial decals for the engine - really did look similar to the inside of the engine cabs I have at The National Railway Museum.
For me this is one of the best value Lego kits currently out there. It works well as a display item and the play value is enormous if you are purchasing for a younger person (or an older one like me that embraces the sheer fun of make believe.

<span itemprop="description">Having recently completed the Disney train station, Which I enjoyed I decided to purchase another train build. I opened the box and I was shocked that there was no train tracks included with this set. On the front of the box the train is on a track. If this had been my first LEGO train set I would have to purchase track separately? This just doesn’t make sense, a train with no track. But this is my only complaint. There is a big difference in price between the Disney train and the Hogwarts train, so I was expecting the final product to be a little less detailed. I plan on motorizing this train, so I appreciate that the cart that takes the motor is easy to convert after ordering a dozen or so red pieces(YouTube video instructions).</span>

<span itemprop="description">This set recreates the Hogwarts express beautifully. I was fun to build and makes a nice display.
I just wish the railway platform was more structurally sound. Any time I try to pick it up to move it, it falls apart. The bridge and the upper platforms don't hold together very well, so it tends to break off in three sections. Just today, the bridge and the stairway with the stairway dropped onto the floor, and I had to root around on the floor, while continually checking the building instructions to make sure I had found all the pieces.
Perhaps it might have been a good idea to include a baseplate to hold the sections in place.
Overall, I would recommend this set, but be very careful when picking the railway platform up.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Pretty happy with this set overall, great minifigs and a decent station for the price. The train itself is pretty standard, nothing incredible and I am not a fan of the front steering wheels, too loose and you have to move a piece out of the way to allow them to turn on tracks which takes away from the appearance of the train. The bridge is very low and the train barely has clearance. Any train with a smoke stack will not be able to pass under without tweaking the build. Overall a great set for the price.</span>

I would have preferred a larger train with more features to a simple train and the station. It felt like they tried to do too much with too few pieces, so that the overall build was bare-bones.

I had just finished the harry potter book series and was starting on the movies. this is a great set in many ways. the locomotive has a locking front truck that can be unlocked for use on tracks. in the cab section there is a generous amount of detailing, including dials, a firebox, and some pipes. the tender is short, but it does the job nicely. the passenger car is kind of plain on the side, but it isn't too bad. the wall comes off to put figures in it. I was able to fit all the figures except the dementor. I do wish there was more than one though. the "real" Hogwarts Express had something like six or seven. it would have been nice to have at least two. the station is great, and much larger than I would expect. the wall function for platform 9 3/4 is great, and i'm glad that they used the same color of pin as the wall. i wish that they would do another print for the wizard newspaper. after I finished the set, I immediately started trying to power it using the powered up system. I only modified the tender to hold all the components. I also built two extra passenger carriages to go with the one included. In addition, I put turning trucks on the included carriages to reduce drag going around turns. on the box, i noticed the lights on the train look like they actually light up, when in reality, extreme modification is needed to make them work. in my opinion, that should not be a thing. There are also no tracks, which is kind of unfortunate. Overall, this is a great set with lots of potential for harry potter fans and train fans alike. P.S. Le train est très joli et super intéressant à monter (surtout la locomotive.
Déjà je trouve qu'il est dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de rails! Ça doit être un coup des Mangemorts... J'aurais aimé qu'il y ait un wagon de plus (du coup j'ai racheté les pièces à part pour m'en construire un), et que le toit soit articulé plutôt que de devoir démonter la moitié pour jouer dedans avec les bonhommes. Le quai de gare est un peu fragile et je trouve un peu dommage qu'il n'y ait pas le chef de gare dans le set.
Un petit bâtiment faisant le lien avec l'arrivée du train à Poudlard aurait été sympa!</span>

<span itemprop="description">Si la motorisation power functions ou power up avait été intégrée ou au moins prévue et au moins un wagon ajouté dans le set il aurait frôlé la perfection. Là on reste un petit peu sur sa faim même si la motorisation reste possible avec un petit peu de bidouillage.</span>

<span itemprop="description">le train est très sympa, il aurait juste fallut prévoir la place pour y mettre le moteur. ( Possible en agrandissant le wagon à charbon ) ce que j'ai fait. Et mettre les mêmes crochets entre les wagons que sur les autres trains. Ça serait bien pour le prochain...</span>

<span itemprop="description">This new rendition of the Hogwarts Express is beautiful- the red and black slick design really makes it look like the one from the film. Harry, Ron, and Hermione were musts for this set, but I appreciate the inclusion of professor Lupin, with an interesting alternate face, and I was surprised by the inclusion of the trolley witch, a new but cool figure nonetheless. The train station itself has a fun feature- going through the wall to platform 9 and 3/4. All of the stickers in the set were put to good use, and the clock piece is a nice print. The train itself is very tough, and holds all of its parts together well. The passenger seats, while slightly crammed in, were a good addition. One of my favorite parts of the set is the trolley itself. I love the chocolate frog and other treats included in it. it fits inside the passenger cabin very well. A dementor is included in the set as well, with a nice cape and ghost-like tail piece. This set is an amazing build, and can be for anybody- Harry Potter fan or not!</span>
