For the other conversions to toddler bed and adult full size bed, the toddler bed requires the purchase of a guard rail (F09574) and the full size bed requires bed rails (F06464) and a complete mattress set. From the crib&#39;s front, top rail, the distance down to the surface of the mattress support is 22&amp;quot; from the highest setting, 25&amp;quot; from the middle setting, and 28&amp;quot; from the lowest mattress support setting. The appropriate mattress dimensions are no smaller than 27 1/4&amp;quot; x 51 5/8&amp;quot;. When selecting a mattress you want to test for the appropriate fit. Place the mattress in the crib. There should be no more than 1/2&amp;quot; of space between the mattress and the crib side on any side. If the mattress is pushed to one side in the crib, you should have no more than 1&amp;quot; of space between the opposing side and the crib side. If you do, it poses a suffocation hazard and should not be used!
