LEGO Creator Expert Downtown Diner 10260 is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 76.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Favorite This is my second favorite build, next to the Ghostbusters building. I love building the diner! There’s a lot of bang for your buck on this jewel and countless playtime for kids. You have the 50s style diner, gym with a boxing ring, punching bag, etc. (Plus I love the old school boxer) The recording studio, pink Cadillac, amazing architecture, quite a selection of minifigs - this is the best set full of details - for the money! Love it. Have it displayed in my kitchen - as it’s fitting - and gorgeous to look at! Thanks Lego

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Downtown Diner Interesting build. The designer used some techniques I had not seen in the previous four Creator Expert modular building designs. I was somewhat skeptical at first - the 'metal' winding staircase from the 2nd to the 3rd level for example - seemed rather flimsy but when snapped in and rotated into place, it was in fact very sturdy. The exterior fronts used tiles to create a brick effect on the 2nd and 3rd floors which was also quite different, but effective. The entire set is well done and honors the period. Details like the grill, bar, jukebox are nice builds. The colors, although I'm not a fan of pinks and teal, again suit the period. My only criticism is that the building style does not fit well with the turn-of-the-century to 1920s style of the four previous sets. In the end, after completion, I enjoyed the set much more than I thought I was going to. That includes the end product as well as the build itself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Downtown Diner arrives at Legostoke I was not too sure when I bought this set. I did not feel that it fitted with the rest of the street. But, I was so glad I did, it was a fun build with lots of variation in the design of the building with bold new colours for my street. I did not suffer the monotony experienced with some of the other larger buildings. THe use of different colours helps, The seperate floors just fit into each other so nicely and are solid. A couple of the other buildings I have made do not have the same robustness. The team that designed this kit are outstanding, I would recommend this as a good building to start with for those that have contemplated building one of the creator range but, were unsure. It is very easy to build, it has lots of that lego fun and some really quite clever bits tucked away, The minifigures are outstanding although I am not sure about the boxers hairdo, he wouldn't punch his way out of a paper bag, This is one of my all time favorite builds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A bit different. But great nonetheless! After my grandmother spoiled me yet again with a late Christmas present, I was ecstatic to put it together! For some reason, it took 7 days to arrive. Which is odd because a set my grandma ordered for me during the Christmas buying spree took only 3 days to arrive. First floor: amazing! Though, I don’t think that it looks well amidst the other buildings. They should put it as the first of the new breed of creator experts. I personally love the 50s style. The juke box was awesome! Every detail was so accurate! Though, the loose accessories were odd. I liked the jumper plates in the resteraunt and on the side walk! I love the colors teal and salmon! The technic was a bit difficult for the facade. Second floor: as a student in taekwondoe, I know this is accurate, the bench press, the working punching bag, the boxing rind, the water dispenser, all wonderful! Though, the jukebox like facade, (which I like the juke box looking facade) is hard to attach. And where they could’ve put corner plates, they put 2x1’s and 1x1’s instead! Why? Third floor: my dad, working in media, loved this room. The clever use of the rack and pinion gears as sound proofing and the up side down steering wheel as the mricorphone looks accurate! The sound equipment is super accurate! The stair was a bit too fiddly. The car: no body has given due praise to the car, whic is styled after elvis’ pink Cadillac, the fact that they fir three abreast seating in a six stud wide car is awesome! The back seat is a nice touch, and the gear shift is something I always include in my car models and is a wonderful feature! But, I really like the exaggerated look of the fins! All in all, awesome!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gimme 2 Adam and Eve’s and a moo juice! This particular modular building has a lot of great things going for it; the diner itself on the main floor was detailed, and fun to build. Wish they’d given a stud for a stack of pancakes on the table to attach. The gym above that was a simpler design, but still has enough detail to enjoy building this level, though it was a bit of a tight fit for some positioning/play. Again, I do wish they’d given a stud for the boxer to attach to on the actual boxing ring. The recording studio on the top was probably one of my favourite parts. The detail that went into making sure it was as accurate as possible is impressive. Some other nice details were the opening skylight, and the spiral staircase at the back. The pièce de résistance for me was the pink Caddy. I won’t lie, my wife may or may not have wanted this set just for the car. Overall, a great addition to any city, and a must have for any modular building fan. Like I said, just would have been nice to have some studded flats to attach certain things to.

American diner styling with a large curved front window, red barstools, benches, jukebox, candy machine, counter, 2 soda dispensers, and a kitchen with a coffee machine, stove and a cooker hood adds to the fantastic detail. its good play ability. for me i love the 50's nostalgia and charm. i would love to see another 1950's style to go with it. highly recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ok, but not at the same level as previous sets. Have had this set for a few months. Here are my thoughts. In short, this is not one of my favorite modular sets. While I am glad TLG keeps moving to make the buildings unique, IMO this one does not fit in with the others. Also IMO I really just don't care for the colors or the overall look. That said, it was a fun build and glad the series is continuing. Was not very excited to see it was a Diner, already have a cafe in Assembly Square and a full restaurant in Parisian restaurant. Wish they would have kept with the original car dealership theme or something unique. So here's the skinny Pros Very detailed interior Nice boxing ring Building displayable from three sides Real faces on the mini figs Cons Only one boxer for the boxing ring (need a least two) Really does not fit in with the other buildings of the series Not sure the whole theme of a diner, gym and radio studio all in the same building works. Would like to see a future set that is more focused on one theme, like a Hospital, Car Dealership, Hotel, etc. Nice if the whole building had a common theme. While I would recommend this set, if you are not going to collect the whole series their are better sets still available. I would rate this set right in the middle compared to the previous releases. Not great, not horrible, just average for the theme. Additional: Here are a few thoughts I would like to see on a possible future modular release. Would be good additions to the series. Both would offer good play/display value. Hotel Floor 1, Check in Desk/ Lobby Floor 2, Few suites Floor 3, Swimming pool Needs an elevator Hospital Floor 1, Lobby, Emergency room Floor 2, Surgery, testing equipment room (MRI, Xray, etc) Floor 3, patent rooms, nurse station, etc. Roof, Helicopter pad

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect build This addition is definitely the most original looking I think. It really stands out in the row. There are some brilliant build techniques, many to carry on into future builds, and the colour scheme will always be unique I should imagine. Also the functionality is top notch. It’s a must have if you’re a creator expert fan.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hard! I know expert level is difficult but I found it almost impossible to get things to hold in place. Missing pieces ( luckily I had spares and some directions missing. It's a beautiful set and I do expert levels but this one was very frustrating for me anyway! You may zip right through it and the fault is with me I don't know

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best yet After building lego with my children over the years I became quite a fan and really looked forward to Christmas morning until 2016 my children didn’t ask Santa for any.. I was devastated !!! My hubby then decided to buy me some for birthday in Oct last year (2017) to which I was delighted and got stook in ... then I saw this on pre order.. it’s me in a box ... I just had to have it... and I am delighted to say it’s worth every penny.. the detail on this out shines every build so far (third set as I bough another whilst waiting for this to be released) the spiral staircase is pure magic and I love the extra added detail from the drain pipes and lights outside to the little dumbbells inside .. i don’t think anything else I build now will compare.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing mismatch This might be a nice stand alone set but we have the entire collection and this just doesnt work with the rest. FIRST AND FOREMOST, The style of this building just doesnt fit with the rest of the modular buildings. Also, there are already multiple eateries in modular buildings, it would have been nicer to have something else.
    Date published: 2018-03-03
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great build I enjoyed building this set. This is my first but not last of Town buildings. I am working on finding a way to add lighting to the lower levels so all of the intricate details can be viewed without taking the upper levels off.
    Date published: 2018-02-28
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great addition to the modulars! Could not have asked for the start of my modular collection in Lego and my Lego City. I loved the level of accuracy reached by the designers and the nostalgia it brought to my parents. Even though Lego has made modulars in the past with restaurant themes, they took a new approach with this model and went the extra mile to bring out subtle references to the 1950's. This set was not terribly difficult to build and actually gave the builders new techniques for future builds, including the second and third floor spiral staircase (which I loved!) I can't wait to collect the rest of these amazing structures in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic This is the first modular building I have ever purchased and was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed building it. there's so many little details that just really make the building. And it has alot of play features that my daughter loves she couldn't wait for me to finish making it so we could start playing with. Over all a great build and a great building.
    Date published: 2018-02-22
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Set, Great Detail! This build was a blast! There are so many fun and nuanced details throughout all three stories of this terrific set! I particularly loved the soda fountain in the counter at the diner and the classic recording studio and mixing desk at the top. Also, the number of rounded corners and features in this set really set it apart and make it unique. It fits the timeframe perfectly. I had been looking forward to building this since I first saw it online and it did not disappoint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks Great But... I really do like this set. I think it looks fantastic and is very different from all the other modulars. I like the style of build, and the pink car. I would say that while I can appreciate new faces for the figs, there is something so classic about the old face. It was just part of the modular builds. I don't know, maybe I'm old school here. I also appreciate the levels not being just a rectangle, but having some shape to them. The front window idea for the diner was brilliant. Nice job

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great build I enjoyed building this set. This is my first but not last of Town buildings. I am working on finding a way to add lighting to the lower levels so all of the intricate details can be viewed without taking the upper levels off.

Nice job
