The Dreambaby Newport Adapta-Gate combines safety and convenience in one fantastic package. Hardware mounted for stability, it incorporates three hinged panels that can accommodate straight, angled, wide, and/or irregular openings and landings. Unlike many other gates that only span a doorway, it creates safe and roomy landings at the bottom of staircases and can also be used across wider openings. It's easy to arrange and install based upon your needs and preferences, and using the Newport Adapta-Gate makes this even easier! Designed by parents, for parents, our gate allows for one-handed operation, has a convenient automatic close-and-lock feature, and comes with an EZY-Check indicator so you know when the gate is securely closed. This gate also features a Stay-Open feature, which is perfect for when you need to move freely through the gate such as when you're carrying groceries.

<span itemprop="description">Very versatile, well-built baby gate. It works well for large openings and can work even if the walls are at angles to the opening. The gate is secure and the two-step safety latch is easy to use. The smallish screws supplied are more than adequate as long as the gate is positioned so the screws pass through the drywall into wooden studs. The gate can be set up so it swings both ways or only one way by installing a small part that is supplied. If, after tightening the locking knobs, the gate location seems not very secure, a small piece of double-sided foam tape can be used between the actual gate portion and the floor.</span>

<span itemprop="description">This gate has made our lives so much easier with our very busy 8 month old. It’s easy to open and the auto close feature is awesome. My three year old is able to open it making it even better that I don’t have to constantly let him out of ‘baby jail’. It’s sturdy and was very easy to install. My only complaint is that it’s difficult to put away when not in use (but it’s not impossible). We leave it up all the time but do disconnect it from the end pieces attached to the wall when we have people over.</span>

<span itemprop="description">My husband and I recently bought a house with a narrow metal staircase up to the loft. We were worried about our 2 year old getting hurt trying to climb the stairs or running into them. This gate seems like it will work very well. It is too small to go around the whole staircase to the wall behind it, but the ability to add other panels solves that problem without too much difficulty. It's very solid and easy to install.</span>

Hello, While we do not recommend adding two Adapta gates together as we do not recommend having two door panels on one gate, if you are looking to use a larger gate for a wider space, our Mayfair Converta 3-in-1 Play Pen and Gate is a great solution. We also have extension panels available which are compatible with both our Newport Adapta, and Mayfair Converta Gates.
