<span itemprop="description">I have a super active and curious 1 year old that pulled it right out of the wall, but it still kept her in the area mostly. The white snap on it busted when I installed it, rather easily. If you get the $4 insurance you're able to have it replaced. The mesh on it works very well. Id recommend it only for early walkers.</span>

<span itemprop="description">we got this gate because we didn't want to have to mount all of our gates to the walls. This gate is very easy to use! When set at the correct tension, it feels very secure. I wouldn't recommend using it anywhere other than between doorways, however. A nice feature is that the width adjustment stays put, even when not in use which is very convenient and makes for efficient set up/take down.</span>

The only annoying part is that sometimes the plastic siding piece to determine the size of the gate, gets stuck. It is a pain to fiddle with it to get the size gate you want. <span itemprop="description">I have an older gate of the same model/type, which has served us well beyond our children and is now used for the purpose of sectioning pets to an area or room, without having to close the door on them. The two we just purchased have a new feature that requires to squeeze or press the button in order to allow the slide's lever to move. It is difficult to work and nowhere near as smooth and sturdy as our previous gate. Even my husband gets frustrated using the new ones.</span>

It's a 30-inch wide doorway and we are able to keep it in the doorway and still close the door so humans can use the bathroom as well as felines. We also have one on a diagonal in a weird 40-inch opening in the living room, which we put up and take down as needed... contains both baby and dog, whether we're keeping both in or baby in and dog out.</span>

<span itemprop="description">This gate is a perfect height for stairs with a railing. The only issue we have is the mechanism to lock the gate in place. It is plastic and a little clunky. Typically gates like this will have a metal mechanism that you can see which link it is locking on. Also - I know this is a pressure mounted gate but our walls have numerous lovely circles on each side of the wall. Once we leave the baby / toddler proofing stages we will have a lot of walls to repair.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I use this in our stairwell, with one step free for the baby to practice. It does open enough for people to walk through, though we just walk over it when going up and down the stairs. It was right for our budget, given that the swing-open gate was considerably more expensive.</span>
