Bought it for my 5 year old as i remember loving the game when i were young, but the new version is terrible. The boards are flimsy and quite hard to put together, they join at the top so if the other player jogs his board yours jogs too and all your doors close. also the characters are too detailed. Excellent game, really helps to introduce problem solving skills to young ones. The game is recommended for ages 6 and above, but my 4 year old quickly managed to get the hang of it - particularly the pets side. The only negative I have is that (as with so many updated versions of old favourites), the physical game itself isn't terribly robust - some doors have fallen off a few times, and although easy to reattach, it's just not an ideal situation! They also fall shut with very little encouragement which can confuse the game.
