We have another VTech toy so we knew they are fun and educational. My four year old was super engaged. The lights and noises are a bit much for me when I have a headache, but as many toys have them, I just tune them out. She loves it and learning how to use the tools for their right purpose (dad got her some real tools and I'm just waiting for a hole in the wall). With these, she is learning and having fun with it, and I have no fear of broken things in my home. It has kept them engaged for hours and helps with their fine motor skills. The sounds it makes are not too loud, so parents do not have to worry. The toolbox comes with two nails, two screws, two double sided project cards, hammer, wrench, and a two-way drill. There are three gears on the tool box that make noise when turned (fun for drilling) and three interactive modes. These modes interact with three buttons that light up. Each button has a picture of a tool in the front. The tool box also has two volume control settings. Another great feature is it comes with batteries. This is a parenting plus ... Take it out of the box and it's ready for immediate play! The toolbox automatically shuts off after it hasn't been in play for awhile. All the accessories can easily be stored inside the toolbox while the drill has its own side compartment. The little red handle inside the toolbox acts as a cute little ruler. The drill is lightweight and easy to use. It has a forward and reverse setting. My toddler likes to carry his toolbox around the house and fix things. She&rsquo;s played with this every single day and pretends to be fixing everything in the house. The fridge, coffee pit, light switches, all got &ldquo;fixed&rdquo; with her new tools. I think the tool box should have been deeper or the hammers and wrench made smaller. You have to put them in the tool box a certain way or it won't close. It should have also come with more than 2 screws and 2 play nails. My one granddaughter asked me where the screwdriver was because there is a picture of one on the tray. It really brings out their imagination! It comes complete with a drill a couple of screws, bolts, a wrench, and a hammer. The drill really works by switching the up and down switch located on the side of the drill. Switch down to drill the screw in. Move the switch in the upward position to unscrew. Not all the screws and tools fit inside the toolbox. The drill goes on the side in a prospective corner pocket. Your little one will love how real everything works! And everything comes in a handy little carrying case, that closes up like a real toolbox! Perfect for little hands to carry! This engaging toy teaches music, improves memory, kids will learn about what the different tools do and what their names are. I really like that this has an auto shut off feature. Makes for saving the battery life! There is a volume button on the toolbox as well, which is a total mom win! Since kids can be notorious for not turning their toys off!! Total kid approved toolbox!! Great craftsmanship. Very durable and sturdy, not cheapy plastic. My little guy just loves pretend playing handy man. This toy has provided many hours of fun time and keeps him rather busy!
