They could not WAIT to open the Hot Wheels Marvel Avengers toy. Once the toy was opened they quickly figured it out and they played with it for a whole afternoon. However, after that afternoon, the toy did not hold their attention much more. Thanks is neat looking, and it's fun to try and knock him down. However, the instructions were a little confusing (didn't know you could only knock him down from one side, couldn't quite figure out what order to to do the set-up). Once we worked that out, it was definitely more fun to try and knock him over. It didn't take them long to set it up and before long they were playing and laughing. It took them a few tries before they knocked down Thanos. Assembly was a bit cumbersome in my opinion and I did have to enlist my husband&rsquo;s assistance on part where the instructions just weren&rsquo;t working for me. During his initial interactions with the toy my son got easily frustrated when it didn&rsquo;t work the way he wanted. I didn&rsquo;t like the fact that the ramp is seperate from Thanos and the whole thing is not a connected unit. He loves his Iron Man car and the &ldquo;bad guy&rdquo; - Thanos, but that&rsquo;s anout the extent of his current interest about 3 weeks after opening the toy. They love everything Avengers. So I was excited to hand this to my son to share the other day. They worked together to set it up and then played with it in teams, each boy convinced he could hit the target best. You have to first hit the belly and then the head. Or maybe it's the other way, but they figured it out. Then the boys took it apart to redesign the layout and brought in toys from other sets. They had a great time, and cleanup was easy. My son figured out quickly you can take the launcher off and reattach it to the other ends of the set, so I liked that it was easy to figure out. He got a little frustrated assembling the set, but figured it out by himself. One drawback is that every time the car &quot;attacks&quot; Thanos, he has to reassemble the track in order to do it again. In addition, Thanos doesn't reliably work the way he is supposed to, which causes some frustration as well. He loves the Iron Man car that comes with this set and has been playing with it consistently since he opened the box. With it being a total of 2 pieces it does make it easier to transfer from room to room for play. However, my 4 year old found it hard to set the launcher by himself. The pull required to pull it back was too hard for him to pull alone. He just can't get enough of the jumping action of the car and ramp. He loves it when the car hit Thanos just right and knocks him down. It would be nice if there were multiple ramps and cars, rather than having to change out the same one, but other than that, it's a great toy. The pieces do not fit well together and the flimsy track that connects disconnects when you shoot the hot wheel. The car itself is great quality! It&rsquo;s a hot wheels car! The Thanos character is also built well. A ton of extra pieces that aren&rsquo;t needed. I was concerned that it would be too complicated for him, but after a test run with Dad he was able to play all by himself. He likes to look at the instruction pictures and then make the set look like the pictures.
