Rated 5 out of 5 by Rae from Awesome Gift Idea This product was received as a gift to my daughter from a relative for Christmas. It was unexpected and unique! My daughter (8 years old) LOVES this gift. The seeds sprouted by day #2 after planting which is a great thing to keep this gift tangible and magical. It teaches her basic gardening and responsibility skills, as well as the wonderment of fairies as the same time. Everyday when she comes home from school she waters her plants and plays with "Willow" (the fairy)and "Nibbles" (the bunny). I've decided to order a few to have at home to give as birthday gifts for my daughter's friends who invite her to slumber parties over the next year as I always struggle to find something unique and fun for under $20.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Ktmcgood from It's a cute concept but... I love the idea behind it. It's a great way to get your children excited about planting flowers and watching them grow. It also teaches them a sense of responsibility bc they have to water it in order for the flowers to grow. However, with it being two separate pieces, it gets knocked over very easily and it's hard to move from one space to another bc the top piece easily topples over. I do love watching the excitement in my littles girls eyes when she how much the plants have grown from day to day, I just wish it were a little easier to handle.

In fact we ended up buying all three garden sets because they are so much fun! We LOVe them and would recommend them to anyone looking for a really fun toy that keeps on giving. After you set it up you get to watch the flowers grow and it's really great for imaginative play as well. Great birthday gift as well with items that fit into your budget!

I bought this for my six year old for christmas... i help my child put things together, the tree woupdnt snap together it was hard for it to completely close ,so we left it like that. Then the fairy doesnt stay flying wen u put itbon top,it keeps falling off. So that made my child upset that it wouldnt stay up there... plus the gardening spaces should be bigger so you can have room to add your decorations.

Together we soaked the soil and planted seeds, then covered the entire thing with a gallon ziplock bag to hold in moisture. Within two days they'd started growing. My daughters enjoy watering it everyday, as well as playing with the fairy and her house. This was a great gift, and we will plant it over and over with different seeds.

We were surprised at how quickly everything sprouted (2-3 days) and its a great way to teach her some responsibility. We do struggle to keep the tiny side plots alive because they are so shallow there isn't much room for root growth or water retention, but my daughter has been very determined and she checks on her garden everyday.

I was a bit skeptical that there would be enough soil and that the water wouldn't leak into the house when watered. There was plenty of soil for the whole project and the water didn't leak into the house. We saw sprouts a few days later, they are growing well and my daughter loves to see the changes in her fairy garden everyday.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the seeds had started to sprout in less than a week! It is in its early stages of growing and we are hopefull it will continue to grow! I would recommend this for the young girl in love with caries!
