There is room for them both to sit and I love that there are cup holders on the side as well as the removable trays. The bonus is the sun shade that can be taken off if its not needed. I took off one star just because I had a little trouble putting the wheels on...you have to basically pound the life out of them to get them on. Why not design with simple nuts and bolts? We love the no hassel tray, also helps keep things balanced when having pne child in and using other half as carring bags. Pulling it is fine, the wheels in front dont get along all the time, but we over came that after 6 months. The canopy lastef about a month, we are thinking its the things you put it in, for the bars look fine. Last we did contact them and they workex with us to see if we can get it in order again. We have enjoyed our wagon after a month of &quot;going take it back&quot;. We learned this wagon verses certain others just has a different way, just like everyone that wishes for doors on it. We dont want doors. My only issue with it is that it is extremely easy to knock off the canopy. It would be better if it could lock into place. We used this to attend a music convention with my grandson. I'd recommend putting it together without that kind of interference.
