It takes up a fair amount of space but it's not in the way in a corner somewhere. It's pretty narrow (the actual play space) so it's not ideal for 2 children to be back there at once. As much as they love it and as happy as I am about that, I would not pay the original $299.00 for this as there's really not enough to it for me to pay that much,there are much nicer play kitchens that offer more space and realism for that price. I love the concept of this product, and the creativity it encourages. Having a working cash register and bell are fun, and all the different things that can be done such as using the sink, refrigerator, microwave and grill are great. However, I was very disappointed in the lack of working space, as in a place to actually organize, store, prepare and serve the food. Also, features such as the pop dispenser are barely recognizable and not functional. The food items do not look as realistic as I have seen other plastic food in the past. It is almost impossible to use the tools such as the spatula and tongs to pick up a burger and put it on the bun, or use the burger toppings without it falling apart. I would recommend this product, based on its concept and the wide variety of originality of play that it encourages. It's the perfect size for my toddlers, but even my almost 1 year old baby and 8 year old daughter can play with it. It is very sturdy. Not easily tipped over, but very easy and lightweight to move around as needed. Putting it together took about and hour. The instructions were in black and white which made it a little difficult to see where the parts go but overall it wasn't too hard. An electric drill came in handy when screwing things together because in some places there were no holes, only indents of where the screws were supposed to go. Not sure if it was intentional or a manufacturer mistake. It did take 2 people to assemble and screw some parts but a single person shouldn't have too much trouble with it. Also there are A LOT of stickers to put on but in the end it's definitely worth the time. It's a very snazzy looking food truck. This comes with a lot of accessories, all which are very well made and sturdy as well. Not cheap at all and with the amount of use it's getting, I'm sure they will last a long time. The sign on the top of the food truck is easily reversible and the register machine is easy for little kids to operate meaning they can independently play without needing much help. I love that this a not so much like a kitchen toy, but still has some of the features of a kitchen. The fact that it's a truck with a steering wheel provides even more ways for kids to play. Super simple. It's very sturdy! My son being special needs has a VERY short attention span. Nothing keeps his attention. We have brand new toys laying around he had touched once. But this for some reason he absolutely loves. He has played with it every day. He makes his family food and drinks. He gets a chair and pretends to drive. The chalk board in front is a great addition! I have never heard of this product until now. He loves seeing his name on his truck. It came just in the original box so my two girls could see what it was. My oldest was super excited about and want to play with it at that moment.
