The screen flips to turn the laptop into a tablet. It is touch screen but I have noticed that you have to really tap the screen hard in order for it to recognize your touch. It is easy to flip the screen which features black and white images on blue screen. It has five learning modes that consist of ABC's, numbers, games, music and messages, My little one really likes the e-mail and the music the most. She also loves the numbers song that it plays in the numbers mode. The keyboard features letters A-Z and numbers 1-10. It takes 3 AA batteries to work and does not have a plug in option. It is easy enough for my 3 yr old to turn on and off as well as slide the button to switch between modes. It has two volume options.
