This Britax Boulevard is ridiculously easy to install. I was able to install the carseat into my car in just a few minutes (from loading it into the car to it being fully installed). I most appreciate the feature of lifting the seat to run the seatbelt through an then closing the seat. It is such an EASY installation. On top of that, I am a petite person and normally struggle to lift a carseat up and into our SUV. I was able to pick up the carseat, put it in the SUV and also move it around to different seats with ease. Aside from being easy to install, this carseat fit into the third row of our SUV on a &quot;1/3&quot; seat (the back seat is split into &quot;1/3&quot; and &quot;2/3&quot; seats) and I could lift the seat next to it up and down without any issue. This was a HUGE plus for me because this means we can toss it into the back of the car for friends to join us. I love that the carseat is made with NO added flame retardant chemicals. The only thing I would change is the color I selected. I chose the Contour Blue. The blue was a little darker than I expected and is close to a navy color. We installed the seat for my 2 year old who was ready for a forward facing seat. When deciding to change her to forward facing, the first thing we thought about was her safety! As you would for any product, we checked for the safety ratings, and they were superior ratings. As we installed the seat, we already knew based on the weight and the install methods, we felt secure about what we had read. The seat has a bottom section that lifts to allow the seat belt to run through and under the seat section, which made it so secure it wouldn&rsquo;t even move when we tried and that was before we also anchored it into the back of the seat. The mechanic for the opening of this section requires a twist of a lock, which a child would never be able to do, so it would be nearly impossible for it to ever open up without an adult needing to do so. The instructions that come with it give you different options for what you can use to install the seat so you should definitely read it prior and know which method you are using! We had not done this and it took longer than it needed, but whenever we have to move the seat in the future, we will be able to do it in a few minutes. The fabric of the seat shout high quality! They are soft and durable but most importantly, washable! Since we have a toddler who now loves to snack on the go&hellip;washable is key! The insert of the seat is called contour gray. It is a lighter gray than our previous seat and I&rsquo;m excited that it will not show every single spill as our darker car seat previously had. The seat is missing one important feature if you have an independent little one like I do&hellip;cup holders! I have since looked and you can add accessory cupholders. The seat width is comfortable for a child, and it is more streamlined than seats that have built in cupholders. If you have a smaller vehicle or multiple seats, this is probably a plus! You will not have to spare safety and comfort for a smaller width seat. Another plus for security is the flame-retardant fabric! Overall this has been a great addition to the needs of our family&hellip;the clicktight seat belt feature is by far our favorite! She did not like the lack of cupholders in this model. We opted to send this one to Grandma's and return to our tried and true, but we know she will be so safe and comfortable in Grandma's car. After reading the instruction manual for proper installation, I was able to get a safe and secure fitting in less than one minute. Another feature that is important to note is the flame retardant free Safewash fabric. I choose less toxic products whenever possible and knowing my child isn&rsquo;t exposed to these chemicals was another huge plus. I have zero complaints about this car seat, however having cup holders would be nice as my child grows. I would recommend this car seat to any parent. The contour blue color is really pretty, not too bright or anything looks nice and refined. The car seat was incredibly easy to install. My husband could do it (securely) very quickly and that's usually more of a challenge for him. The fabric seems really easy to clean and soft. We've been testing it on pretty hot days and I'm impressed with how cool it feels even with a hot car. It's super important to me that there are no added flame-retardant chemicals and I appreciate that Britax did not use any on this seat. It feels like a tank and I feel really good about keeping my son safe while sitting in this. The straps are smooth to tighten both during installation and when getting him in and out, our previous brand felt really clunky during this process and Britax nailed it with this one. With that said, I want to give a big thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me the Britax Boulevard Click Tight Convertible Car seat to use and review. I have researched Britax before and they are well known for safety. I received the seat in contour gray and it is sharp looking! It is sleek yet cushy, and it is extremely easy to clean. I just lift the seat cushion and vacuum out the crumbs! One feature about this car seat that I was really excited about was the ease of install. Boy, did it exceed my expectations. In the past, I have always asked my husband to install our car seats because of what a pain they are, but I was able to install this one all by myself! It took me just a few minutes to have it installed, level, and ready to go. My son is 2 years old (almost 3) and is rear facing. He was excited about his new car seat and says it is comfortable. He falls asleep quite easily in it! Along with safety, I also try to avoid unnecessary toxins and chemicals when I can, so learning that this seat has no added flame-retardant chemicals was a bonus! Now, for the negative. I love everything about this car seat except one thing and it's a big concern. The seat is installed using the car's seatbelt. In my case, I drive a minivan, so it's installed using the minivan seatbelt. Well, my son can reach the seat belt buckle while he is strapped in and undo it! He in fact unbuckled it several times, even though he was told not to. Now, I don't know if this is specific to my minivan (I doubt it), maybe the buckles are easier to reach. Even if your child sitting in the seat can't reach it, it is possible another child could unbuckle the seatbelt. Since this is a huge safety concern, I will be installing it with the lower anchors instead of the seatbelt even though it will be more of a hassle to install. The safety concern is not a deal breaker for me at all because we have the option to use the lower anchors. Right out of the box, my first impressions were that it look like a really nice car seat and it was a very good quality. It was ready to install right from the get go. We received the Contour Black color and it looks really nice, especially with the black interior of my truck. After unboxing, I began reading the instruction manual and in that time my 4-year old sat in the seat and said &ldquo;Wow, Dad! This seat is really comfortable, come sit next to me!&rdquo; Next, I began installing it in my truck. I used it with my 2-year old, so I installed it rear facing. The feature on this seat that made it stand out from other car seats I have used was the ClickTight feature that allowed the seat to open upward, similar to the hood of a car opening up. This allowed me to easily loop the seat belt through and install the car seat. After the seat belt was looped and tightened, I pushed the seat back down and it snapped into place. Buckling my daughter into the car seat was easy as well. However, the one small issue I had was pushing the button to loosen the seatbelt harness when removing my daughter. It was kind of tough/annoying to push the button, but only a small issue. Another issue I had was the lack of cup holders. My kids always had snacks or drinks in their cup holders in their previous car seats, so the lack of cup holders was a bummer because my daughter had no where to put her snack or drinks on longer car rides. I only used it in one position and rear facing, but it was very easy to switch the seat to different position and adjusting the headrest was simple also. After reading the manual that came with it I tried to install the car seat rear facing per the preferred method of installation using my cars lap belt for my six month old son. I found that this method although recommended did not yield the snuggest fit for my vehicle. I ended up using the included anchor strap to achieve the safest result. This installation process was fairly easy and I found the guide to be adequate enough leaving little to interpretation. I found there were plenty of choices for angle of the seat and back heights which will fit my needs greatly as my son grows. My favorite feature on this car seat would be the clock tight system. Having the seat pop up was a very neat feature and made installation smooth. I really like how plush the buckle and strap pads are. Pro - the seat belt installation is so fast and easy. I love not having to mess with the latch system. Pro- the click tight feature is AMAZING. I always struggled to know if my straps were tight enough. Listening for the click makes it so easy to know my daughter is safe. Pro - the buckles are so smooth. My daughter is able to buckle herself and I can release her one handed. Pro - the fabric is very soft and I love the vibrant purple color. Pro/Con - the straps have a rubber guide that keeps the chest clip from going too high or low. While I love this as a safety feature, my daughter finds it a bit uncomfortable. Con - I do miss the cup holders that our previous seat had. It's harder to give my kid snacks because she's missing their designated spot that she's used to from our old seat. The fabric itself is really lovely and sturdy. I went right to the instruction manual which was well written and easy to follow along. I read the entire manual first and then went to install. I was feeling confident with how easy it was described to install. The first installation was not a breeze. I found (and still do find) it challenging to push/pull the incline adjustment button but once you do get it pushed the seat moves quickly between inclines. I had the seat adjusted to a proper incline for my rear facing 2 year old but once I buckled it in, closed the cover, and ensured it was tight enough, it had pulled it tighter and was no longer at a proper incline. I found it frustrating to have to unthread the seatbelt entirely and start again. The incline can not be changed while buckled in. My first time installing I also had trouble pushing down the seat to click in. Potentially due to the incline, I found that the edge of the car seat kept hitting the back of the vehicle seat and I had to use more force than anticipated to close it. That said, I have now installed and uninstalled it a number of times and have gotten more comfortable and found it easier to do. It certainly feels secure and the ClickTight feature is a dream! Beyond installation my daughter LOVES this car seat. She is constantly requesting to sit in it versus my old car seat. The seat takes up less room then our other car seat, allowing my husband (6 foot 4 inches) to be able to move his seat further back. My biggest complaint with the seat in action is that the wings near her head are very large. While it brings me comfort for her safety, it is a tiny area to be able to get her in and out of. The color is fun and adds a pop of something different if you&rsquo;re looking for an alternative to traditional black and gray car seats. As far as functionality, I really enjoy the Clicktight feature. You push and turn the button and the bottom seat open up to a compartment that allows you to install, adjust straps etc. It was very user friendly and a much more streamlined process then other carseat brands. It was easy to install, and felt very secure immediately. The headrest is easy to adjust, as is the length of the straps. There&rsquo;s lots of cushion, my daughter seems very comfortable in it. I&rsquo;ve had to move the car seats around a bit and i no longer fear the fastening like I did before with other brands (I used with my daughter years ago).
