<span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 2 1/2 year old son is total chatterbox and loves anything that talks or sings. We have a treehouse and swing set just like this one in our backyard and I thought he would have fun with characters (a boy, girl (Tessa) and dog (Jack) and learn orientation/directional words when I play with him (The little boy is up in the treehouse. Tessa went down through the trap door. Jack went to sleep in his doghouse. Tessa is looking through the telescope. etc.) The little boy has a baseball cap and they didn't give him a name so I told me son that the little boy was him (kind of even looks like him) which made him love the set even more! We had a lot more fun than expected and with all the toys he has, my son plays with this toy a little every day, which means a lot! Why not 5 stars? With the button you push to make the swing go back and forth (there's a spot where you can firmly secure any of the characters on the swing), there's lessons/songs on sharing and taking turns. Which although it's one the cutest and most fun features on this set, when your child pushes the button 20 times in a row, hearing the song repeatedly may get a little much for anyone that isn't the child (my son loved hearing the song over and over again, no problem). And the only volume choice? Loud. Wish you could at least have a low and high volume. It's fun that Jack the dog can be placed on a spot controlled by a knob, when turned left and right, brings him in and out of his doghouse and you'll hear the kids speaking to him and he barks. However, you have to turn it all the way to where it almost clicks inside and outside of the house to make it talk, which a child may not be able to do every time. So my son would tell me the talking feature was broken and I would have to help. The trap door in the treehouse is a novel idea but it's awkward because the characters just fall down the trap door and it seems like they get "injured" and I didn't want my son thinking falling a trap door was something fun to do for anyone! Also, the telescope, which has a spot where you're support to insert it on top of the treehouse, it's nearly impossible to get it on there, even for an adult, let alone a toddler. The most important thing is my son loves the toy and interactivity so I'm more than happy to overlook the small issues. Overall I highly recommend this unique and educational set!</span>

My kids love the little sayings about sharing and playing with each other. There are a lot of very cute details like a telescope, a swing you can operate, a door to the tree trunk that opens, and more!
My biggest complaint is the design of the new Little People. They are heavier in weight, which means they hurt if they are thrown. Also, the new characters don't interchange well on older sets They simply don't stay in place. This is truly a huge design oversight and a big bummer for kids.
I give this set 4 stars because it's adorable and fun, but removed one star due to the people not fitting on older sets.</span>

I love that it has a song about sharing I think kids around this age struggle to share and the song really encourages them to share. It has a little swing that swings with a push of a button. He already has the farm and looks at the treehouse as an edition to the farm. He enjoyed the first few days, but it got boring quick. He loves figurines, but I feel this toy is too young for him. He just turned 4. The box says for up to 5, but I cant see him being very interested in it in a year. The noises and songs are also a bit annoying. Even he turns off the sound after a while. I'm a big fan of toys without batteries. The toy is actually fully functiinal turned off. The dog coming out of his house and the swing work without batteries. It's just for the sound effects and music. At least there's an off button! :)</span>

This one is really cute, and includes a boy, a girl, and a dog as figures. The swing works by pushing a button. There are a couple of songs that play--they aren't bad, and the themes of sharing and taking turns are perfect for preschoolers, but they do grate after a while, apparently even for my son, who now frequently turns off the sound while he plays with this set. It's pretty small and portable, which is great since my son insisted on taking this to his sleepover at grandma's.</span>

They love all the hideouts, doors, and different things their "friends" can go play in. My 3 year old especially loves the swing! You put a "friend" on the swing and push the button and it swings by itself! The toy is very strong and durable. The people and dog get lost easily, but we do have a few other "friends" we can play with interchangeably. The songs are fun to sing along to and I love that the treehouse gives them inspiration for imaginary play and role playing.</span>

My 3 year didn't really want to share it with his sister he loved it so much. The dog that moves in and out of his dog house is by far one of my 9 month olds favorite features because it make different sayings happen. Also the swing moves and makes saying and sings a song about taking turns, my daughter dances to it and my son tries to sing along. My three year old son is loving the trap door and round door at the base of the tree. It hasn't so many features that seems to be for a good variety of ages. I have already recommended it to my friend who has a 2 year old. We love this and it's a perfect toy for both my kids that promotes sharing which is much needed!!</span>
