We set it up according to instructions and we thought it was secure after we tested it after set up. However, today my son opened it by pulling on it and fell down the stairs. When we checked it we found it wasn’t latching properly. We have readjusted it for now and it’s latching again, but we are also using a bungee cord until we find another gate.</span>

<span itemprop="description">This is a great gate. We just used the pressure mounting system, no hardware and it fits well. The gate opens and closes perfectly, and I like the auto closing or staying open feature.
We use this gate in a staircase that has a banister on one side, and wall on the other. The pressure mount system works well so you don’t have to put holes in the banister.
It’s stylish and matches my dark wood stairs.</span>

<span itemprop="description">This is a nice looking gate, the mechanisms to tighten it between 2 walls works well and is secure.
My dislikes are: This particular gate only opens in one direction, the patterned part of the gate is plastic, and the latch is a little still to open with one hand.
We have another Summer Infant gate that swings in both directions and the latch is super smooth, and the whole thing is metal and wood. Overall, a nice gate.</span>
