It is easy and effortless putting these on the car. After it is set up you are ready to go. The car has seat belts and everything. That added feature alone made my daughter very happy. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because my rear view mirror was missing. The car is made of plastic, which you can feel too the touch. The design is beautiful, it looks much better in person than on the website. It is also a bigger car in person than on the website; I guess it has to fit barbie, so, makes sense! The inside of the car is design exactly like that of a real convertible; it is truly a great car design. To me, it is the best barbie car within its group of plastic cars made for barbie. The packaging was fun and had bright colors. The devices they used to secure the car in the box were easy to remove and my daughter was able to play with this toy quickly. She had so much fun pushing this car around the house. As a parent, I noticed that the wheels of the car rolled well on thick carpet and wood floors. This toy car has 2 seats for barbies to sit. We quickly found a couple barbies and they both fit in the car well. Each seat has a seat belt that you can fasten. The seat belt is well made of a rubber type material and has raised bumps on it so when you slide it down the hole the bumps in there rubber hold it in place. My 4 year old does have difficulty attaching the seat belt and gets a little frustrated because she can&rsquo;t do it. The other thing I noticed about the car that frustrated my daughter initially is that she kept trying to open the car doors. This car is built so that the doors do not open. As a parent, I like that the doors don&rsquo;t open because it is one less thring that can break! My daughter and I have had some very imaginative play with this car. Our car has taken our barbies out to eat, to the pool, and to school! This toy has been played with daily since we have received it! It was so easy to put together and have the kids play with it within 3 minutes. I did struggle with getting the black piece that holds the car in the packaging off, the front one, but other then that it was great and minimal packaging. The girls loved to put their barbies in it and drive around . Also my boys that are rough on toys it lasted with them without a dent or scratch on the car. My kids loved it. It is the perfect size, can fit two Barbies, and is of course bright pink! The only issue I have is with the mirrors. You do have to attach them to the car yourself when taking it out of the box, and they do not stay on very well. It would be better if they came fully attached to the car itself, as the mirrors are very small and could be a choking hazard if you have little ones that may find the fallen mirror on the floor before you do! Release tabs make for easy removal from the packaging. There is very minor assembly required - side and rear mirrors need attached to the vehicle and stickers need to be adhered. The car is very simple - the doors do not open, the trunk does not open, there are no additional small pieces or accessories. No batteries required. The vehicle does not make any sounds, no music or car horns. As a parent, I like the simplicity of these features - children need to rely more on their own imaginations and there are no pieces to lose. I believe the simplicity will increase the durability of the product over time. Overall, this is a very simple and compact Barbie car with only two seats. It is not fancy, but it does not need to be. The car is pink and sparkly and certainly will get Barbie and her friends wherever they need to go. I have two daughters, ages 5 and 7, and both were thrilled with this product.
