It can't be refilled and there is nothing you can do with the rest of the book. My son absolutely loved the color blast book but the marker dried out after only coloring a few pages. I took the suggestion to get it working again on back of book. No luck. I called customer service and the lady said they know there is a problem and would send me a new book. Again very nice but I can not suggest buying this product or would I buy it again b/c I will continue to have the same problem. My son liked it so much I prob would have bought more markers if it was an option. You add a little water to the paint brush unit that comes with the kit and it wets down the white brush on it and the child colors all of one of pages in the book and it looks very colorful.
