Baby Registry Overview
The Babies "R" Us and Toys "R" Us Baby Registry allows you to create a list that can be viewed by friends and family anywhere. You can create your Baby Registry in our stores or online. Regardless of where you create your Baby Registry, it will be viewable in all Babies "R" Us and Toys "R" Us locations in Canada and online at www.babiesrus.ca and www.toysrus.ca. (Note: If you register in one of our stores, you will be asked if you would like to post your registry online. If you answer yes, an email address will be required, and your registry will be posted on our website within minutes.)
Additionally, registries created in one of our stores can be updated online, and vice versa. To update your registry online, you will need to set up a Registry Password either when setting up the registry in-store or online. If you do not have a password set up for your registry and would like to manage it online, please contact our Customer Service Team at 1-800-TOYSRUS. Purchases made from your registry will be recorded simultaneously to the store and online view of your registry to prevent duplicate gifts. Your Baby Registry will remain active for 12 months from the arrival date you provide on your registration form. If you are interested in creating a toy wish list for your child for events such as baby's first holiday or birthdays, we encourage you to explore our wish list feature.
Where is My Registry?
Initially, you may be able to locate a store created registry by searching registry number before it becomes available searching by name. If you have a registry number, we recommend you search by this number or check back approximately 30 minutes after creating your registry to search by name. If you still cannot locate your registry after this time period, please contact our Customer Service Team at 1-800-TOYSRUS (1-800-869-7787) to verify that the "Available Online" option on your registry is set to "Yes."
Once you have your registry password, you can go to the Baby Registry area of our site to log in. You will be prompted to enter your registry number and password. If you don't have your registry number, you can look up your registry by name and then enter your password.
And remember, once you log in with your new password, you can always edit your account information and change your new password. Registry passwords must be between 6-10 characters long and are not case sensitive. You can use a combination of letters and numbers but special characters are not allowed. We recommend that you keep your registry password separate from the password used in "My Account" for online purchases (registry passwords and account passwords are maintained separately in our database).
If you have any questions or concerns about this registry transition, please contact our Customer Service Team at 1-800-TOYSRUS (1-800-869-7787).
Deleting a Baby Registry If you need to delete an entire Baby Registry, please contact our Customer Service team at 1-800-TOYSRUS (1-800-869-7787).

Moving items to the purchased section
How do I get an item I purchased from a registry moved to the purchased section?
When you purchase an item online from someone's registry, it should move to the purchased item section within a few hours, as long as you do the following:
- Purchased the item by clicking on the "Add to Cart" button located next to the item on the Baby Registry page.
- If you just added the item to your cart from the product detail page, the item will not be moved to the purchased section in the applicable registry.
Items purchased in a local Toys "R" Us store should also move to the purchased item section within a few hours.
I purchased an item from a Baby Registry days ago and it has not been moved to the purchased section.
If you check a Baby Registry and notice that an item, which has been purchased, has not yet been moved to the purchased section, you can do the following:
- Login to your registry from the Baby Registry page and update the purchased field to the number that has been received and click "Save Changes".
Or,
- Write down the applicable registry number and the name of the item that has been purchased and contact our Customer Service Team at 1-800-TOYSRUS (1-800-869-7787).

Searching for a Registry Online
- Go to the Baby Registry Search box at the left side of the page.
- Type in as much information about the expectant parent as you can. At least the first two letters of the last name or a registry number is required, but more detailed information will help us track down the exact registry you are looking for.
- When you're ready to submit your information, click on the "Find Registry" button.
- All related search results will be displayed alphabetically by the registrant's last name and then by their first name. Please note that the initial registry search will only look for matches in Registrant Name.
- If you find the registry you're looking for, click on the registrant's name or the registry number to view the entire registry.
- If you do not see the registry, you can either refine your initial search using the search box at the bottom of the screen or you can conduct a second search for the name as a Maiden/Alternate name by using the text links at the top of the page.
- Registries created in-store should appear online within an hour. If you are looking for your own registry and cannot find it, try searching by registry number. If you still cannot locate your Baby Registry online, please contact us at 1-800-869-7797 for assistance.
If you're having trouble finding a registry, remember these tips:
- Make sure that the information you provide is spelled correctly. If you are unsure of the spelling, try entering just a few characters. A minimum of two letters is required for the last name and one letter for the first name.
- If you typed in a registry number, be sure that the number you typed in was the correct one.
- If the registrant has a common name, try adding more information to your search to limit the results returned.
- Make sure you're using the correct name. A registrant may provide us with her maiden or alternate name, but sometimes only the married name is given.

Buying a gift for an expectant mother and her baby is easier than ever! Complete registry lists can be viewed either online or in one of our stores.
Viewing a Registry Once you find the registry you're looking for, you can view the registrant's entire list of products. To determine what you'd like to buy, follow these simple steps:
- Products available online are sorted into product categories to make it easier for you to find particular products.
- Once you find a product you're interested in, you have several options:
- To determine if the product requested is still needed, look in the column labeled "Desired". If the number is 0, then someone has already purchased that product. If it is greater than 0, you can still buy this product from the registry.
- If you want a more detailed description of a product, simply click on the title and short description to take you to a product pop-up. You may add this product to your cart here, or return to the registry list to add it.
- If you want to add a product on the registry list straight to your cart, type in the quantity you want to purchase in the box under the "Buy" column, and then click on the "Add to Cart" button.
- When you finish shopping, you can go to your Shopping Cart and proceed through Checkout. Take note of the Product Availability shown in your Shopping Cart. This information will help you figure out when the product will be ready ship to you if you're buying it online. Keep in mind if you purchase something from a registry, that item will be sent to the registrant's address unless otherwise specified during Checkout.
Understanding the Registry Layout The registry is divided into the following three sections.
- Products Available Online: These are the products that can be purchased online, organized by category. Most of the products in this section are also sold in Babies"R"Us stores. Some products in this section are sold exclusively online. These items will clearly be marked "online only."
- Products Available In-Store Only: These are products that can only be purchased in one of our retail stores. Please note that not all products are carried by all stores. We suggest you call your local store before you visit to check product availability.
- Products Already Purchased: Once you've told your friends and family about your registry, you'll be able to see which products on your registry have been purchased. Purchases made online and in our stores will be reflected here. If you don't want to ruin the surprise, then don't peek!
Buying from a Registry Online People who purchase products online from a registry can opt to send them to any address; however, the default address is the one that the creator of the registry provided. Gift givers can see only the name associated with this address. For privacy reasons, the street address remains hidden. If you'd like to send a registry gift to a different address, simply add a new address before you select a shipping option during Checkout. Once you complete the purchase, the product will move into the "Products Already Purchased" section of the registry.

How Long will my Registry Remain Active?Your Baby Registry will remain active for 12 months from the expected arrival date you provide on your registration form. If you are interested in creating a toy wish list for your child for events like their first holiday or birthdays, we encourage you to explore our wish list feature.
What is the Difference Between "Due Date" and "Expected Arrival Date?" Expected Arrival Date is the date you expect the baby to join your family. For moms that are giving birth, this date is the same as your due date. For families that are adopting, the expected arrival date is the date you expect to bring the baby home. You can modify this date at any time during the registry process if needed.
What is an Alternate Name? An alternate name can be a nickname, e.g. Liz if the registrant's name is Elizabeth. In some instances a registrant may choose to use her maiden name as her primary "Registrant Name" and her alternate name may be her married name. This field is optional. You can use it if you think the additional information will make your registry easier to locate for gift givers.
